Mason Bennett “close” to signing new contract

Theirs were in part because of the desire to phase big losses across a slightly longer period I thought. 

No such issue with Mason.

He won't have a good consistent season. He's extremely injury prone. I do agree we probably have missed his pace and directness though.

Pretty sure that was related to their signing on fees and FFP,  as Bennett is 'one of our own' there would be no similar reason to do this.

Yes, and by some way as well. He made his debut in October 2011. The next longest serving is Chris Martin who didn't come in until the February of 2013.
