No mate collectively people bounce off the ceiling and we're top six when we win and doom and gloom when we lose.

A few good signings, Rooney on fire and the rest of the team playing er, like a team and its not impossible. Its a long shot but would be nice to have a good second half of the season and make a late promotion push. We've just got 3 points for the first time in ages, lemme dream tonight! Yes, only 9 points, but that's a lot to make up actually. Look at it like this... 21 games left. If we have title winning form for the rest of the season, 2pts per game, we collect 42 points, plus the 30 we already have gives you 72pts. Some seasons that would get you 6th spot. Most it wouldn't. And that's how hard the task is. Yes, "only" 9 points, but to pull that back requires title winning form or better for the rest of the season. SamUltraRam
I think most of us realise that this season is now about finding some tactics that work, introducing a few academy players and making a few astute signings to prepare us properly for genuine progress next season. I'm happy to wait for that
r4derby
What a win can do to morale! Positive signs against a poor Charlton team. But that work ethic and drive will see us do well against better sides too. And returning quality will help (Bielik staying on the pitch, Shinnie, Rooney etc)

Either Leeds, West Brom, Fulham and Brentford will take the top 2 spots, The rest in this division you can put in a bag and draw out those who are relegated and those who make the play offs, This division is nowt special, I saw a sort of togetherness against Charlton, Something that's been missing for most of the season. 2-3 loan or permanent signings and as Jimmy Hill once said "football is a funny old game"

Most it wouldn't Out of the 21 games left, we'd probably have to win 13, draw only 5 and not lose any more than 3. That would be some turnaround but definitely not impossible, considering how tight the league is this year and how teams around top 6 consistently drop points like Preston and Sheffield Wednesday. If we win the next few, which are winnable games, we'll shoot up that table and all of a sudden it looks a lot more doable. Who knows?

Edtheram
We’ve not been playing well but just look at today’s results. West Brom, Leeds and Brentford are the best teams by far but the other 3 top six spots are completely open for anyone who can get some consistent results going. Yes we’re 9 points off but by the look of this league it’s closer than it seems. Let’s hope we’ve turned a corner, Rooney and the young lads have a great effect on the team, injured and suspended players come in and help and recruitment is good in Jan and we can hope for the best this season after all

TheresOnlyWanChope
Doubt we can achieve it this year with this squad. Would need a few players January. We can’t even buy a win away. I think we can pick up and finish in top10. Everyone needs to step up and we need to not lose anymore players (especially defenders) to injuries!
