2 years. No chance we’ll go for him if we sack Cocu now. Think the latter Is a dead man walking mind.

I was laughed at when I posted cocu is a dead man walking?,,,, not too much difference in appointing Rooney as there was appointing lampard ,,     huge buzz round the club,, raises club profile , media magnet ,, players would want to play for him and contacts for loans ,,

don’t think for one minute that there’s no chance

What I’d suggest is don’t bother going until things get better and then cry when you can’t get tickets for a big game when the team are riding high again.

I see this as Cocu testing every part of the team at the moment to see what we need to do in January. I might be wrong but I’m also willing to give him longer than he’s had.

Rooney won’t be done with playing yet, that’s probably the biggest reason why it won’t happen. He’ll want to 100% focus on playing and learning how to coach before taking the plunge as a manager. Any suggestion he’ll be a manager before the end of his deal here is insanity imo.

Not really a workable suggestion to people who have watched Derby for the best part of 50 years and more ,

im not for sacking him but if there’s to be improvement he has to be backed financially but my gut feeling is we will soon see Rooney as player manager as in today’s crazy football world it’s the commercial choice

This is such nonsense.

I'll make 2 points.

1. All the problems you're seeing here tonight existed last season. Almost every single match we failed to turn up in the first half.  "Too slow out of the blocks" everyone said. It took a half-time rollocking to get into gear. These are not new problems that Cocu has created.  They are existing problems Cocu has been learning about. Frank couldn't fix them. Cocu hasn't had a window yet in which to attempt to fix them. And as posted elsewhere, for the period Mount was out injured last season, Frank's record was worse than Cocus.

2. We currently have a patched up third rate midfield.  Bielik, Shinnie and Huddlestone would all walk into this midfield. Instead we are making do with Holmes, Knight and Evans.  It's no wonder we look poor. And not only that, Cocu has had rotten luck with long-term injuries... Shinnie, Huddlestone, Keogh, Bogle, Clarke all missing for months at a time, and all 5 would be first  team starters when available.  You can't take 5 players out of a team for months and expect great results.

So calms yourselves down. This is the time for patience. Cocu is going nowhere.  Wait and see what happens in January.
