Keep calm. The EFL have already signed off on our stadium sale so I would be astonished if they now came out and accused the Club, Mel, the auditors and THEMSELVES of doing something improper.

Don’t count on it.

They have got to be seen as fair.

So the EFL have got 2 options here.

Charge us and make an even worse name for themself as they have already signed off our stadium sale - After everything over the past couple of months they are pretty hated. They would then most likely be sued by us, meaning they will lose more money.

Or they can let us get on with it as what we did was within the rules, and only have to worry about mardy steve gibson.

I wonder...

IIRC there was an irregularity with the dates for Sheff Wednesdays?

Their stadium sale actually happening in the 18/19 season, but they included the profit in the 17/18 accounts or something like that.

May be the basis of the charge.

Leeds and Forest fans all over Twitter right now frothing at the mouth "what about Derby", not understanding that selling stadiums is/was allowed under EFL rules.

Clearly the EFL are not happy with how Sheffield Wednesday processed the sale, and not this must mean Derby and Villa are also screwed.
