Sean 311 Posted December 2 "Morris will be staying on as chairman and the deal will ensure manager Phillip Cocu will be given funds to strengthen his squad in the January transfer window." That sounds like music to my ears... 4 1 1 IslandExile, Edtheram, Saffy van der Ram and 3 others reacted to this Share this post Link to post
Josh 55 Posted Monday at 21:54 Hope it’s not Peter Gadsby. We need more than his £5 million. 1 Van der MoodHoover reacted to this Share this post Link to post

MackworthRamIsGod 4,979 Posted Tuesday at 09:31 I am hoping for some very rich foreign consortium. I was told by very very NITK person, that Mel was doing a deal with someone close to the club, who has had previous involvement dating back to the baseball ground days, he said not Peter Gadsby. I could only think of Stuart Webb, the Kirkland Family? I am just hoping this deal is the one that propels us to the next level. Share this post Link to post
SaintRam 12,302 Posted Tuesday at 09:33 Well with our recent trend of involving internationally renowned English folk, perhaps Mel has netted investment from the Queen? 😄 1 Sweetness34 reacted to this Share this post Link to post

RamLad1884 1,257 Posted Tuesday at 10:23 Heard rumours a little while back from a shakey itk at best that the investment was an American consortium, including a couple of guys involved in the DC United ownership. Makes sense to an extent, somehow we got around the Rooney contract without paying anything to them directly, plus it fits with the rumours that some of the previous American owners are interested in coming back. See what will happen on that front, I'd be gobsmacked if this guy was ITK for once though. Share this post Link to post

Not sure that can be correct, as one of the two guys that own DC United is also a co-owner of Swansea City (Jason Levien) and the other is a Director at Oxford United (Erick Thohir) 1 rammieib reacted to this Share this post Link to post
MackworthRamIsGod 4,979 Posted Tuesday at 11:23 Peter Kenyon has been sniffing around clubs, mainly Newcastle United, but that probably wouldn't ever happen. Could be him. Share this post Link to post
