Dimmu
Just now, sage said: I think half a season in Div 1 or 2 would do him good. It certainly would. But if he is not already better than Forsyth, he has to improve a lot to become proper CB.

Millenniumram
Sounds like the lad has done well. Would be good to get him a loan until the end of the season now to see how he progresses. Worth bearing in mind what Mel said the other week about the development of centre halves mind - it can take longer than other positions, so I wouldn’t be expecting him in the first team just yet. Could be another couple of seasons before he’s ready if he ever is, so signing a centre back is still a priority.

Gerry Daly
I'm not sure Cocu and his coaches have had a chance to look at him and work with him? Maybe they would like to do that. After all Bird, Knight and Sibley haven't been out on loan and they are doing well. Perhaps half a season out on loan is all thats needed for Max at this stage, playing lump it and head it lower division football and its time to get him back here training with better players
JustOneBiblicalKazim
Don’t think we should play him. Too many players called Max.

YorkshireRam
That's come out of nowhere, seems odd to sell our most promising centre half from the academy but I presume they had their reasons. I suppose Mel's comments about the academy not really producing CB's makes a little more sense with this context but still surprising
gfs1ram
A bit disappointed with this. We could do with a 6'4" defender. Good luck to him. Was a fee involved ???

California Ram.
Hope there's a fee and at least a sell-on clause - seems to have been progressing, and while we might not see him as being 'first team standard' for now - his career has definitely been on an upward journey. QuitYourJibbaJivin
Have to go with the club on this. This manager has shown that he’s not afraid to give youngsters their chance, if he’s decided that he’s not going to make the grade then You have to trust his judgement. SaintRam
Good move for him. Decent level. Not the best CB among our U23s; which isn't a great status to have as our CBs aren't great at youth level. Good stature and can hit a nice long pass; he really stood out in his first games after joining but became the player making mistakes, and was just often less solid than others. I did like him though and hoped he developed. A shame; but not a shocking decision.
Topram
Didn’t expect that, for as well as our academy is doing it doesn’t seem there’s many CBs coming through, I thought he had the most promise
