Waghorn cost us the game. You have to put the chances away.

That's unfair. He makes the first penalty and scores it to get us in the lead.

Other players had chances and didn't take them. And the referee decided a blatant dive was a penalty.

Not great in the final third.

Not great at the back.

Don't take our chances.

Hard done by today, but we look mid table at best on current evidence.

For a team that wants to play 4-3-3 we just aren't good enough on the wings.

A 3-5-2 would suit us much better. Clarke and Evans have done absolutely nothing to warrant being dropped.

Dowell and Huddlestone have provided pretty much zilch this season so far.

How has Dowell managed to not get subbed?

Why didn't Cocu slow the game down, and manage the time by putting on all 3 subs?

In fairness he created the only legitimate chance in the first place

Waghorn once again costs us dear with missed opportunities. You can make the argument to say he's cost us 6 points already with his poor finishing. Needs to be taken off penalties now.

Dowell, what can I say about that performance? Awful. Horrendous. Horrific. Slow, off the pace, no fight, no desire, poor passing, poor set piece delivery. Rubbish.

It was never a penalty. I hope the WBA is done retrospectively for that, Max Lowe (who I thought was brilliant again) didn't touch him.

Jason Knight was excellent. Lee Buchanan started slowly but got better, made an absolutely vital block.

Dowell awful. Penalty misses cost us 4 points already this season. Frustrating.

Please change the penalty taker or send a taxi to Bournemouth for Wilson.

Ehhh Clarke has arguably been at fault for three goals in the last two games.

saw most of the second half. Was a pretty even game.

We created some presentable chances.

shame about the pen, i think he was looking for it rather than Lowe fouling him but after our second we shouldn't be surprised.

We're not there yet, but I don't think we need to worry. Was impressed by Knight and Buchannan

So that’s that 0 wins from 3 at home not the start I was hoping for. Ah well, sounded a bit better in parts today.

Though this Dutch bloke at Everton was supposed to be one of Cocus bessies? If so, couldn’t they have found us a better loan? Or is this the dead hand of our legendary recruitment team at work again?

It is not unfair. He is paid to score goals and should be able to convert a penalty.

Clarke deserved to be dropped. His level has been significantly lower recently, his passing predictable, and his defending bad. He cost us both goals at Stoke. Not sure why he's avoiding criticism when he's been no better.
