Easy way to tell is use a private browsing window and see if the same adverts show, which they do.

Telegraph are actively forcing gambling ads on their football pages.

Ban everything ?

Whilst it seems hypocritical of the Telegraph, it doesn't detract from the fact that the gambling industry isn't really an ethical sponsor.

It’s a legal business..... gambling is normalised, the day the lottery started made it as such.

Millions gamble without any harm whatsoever, within reason and for fun.

I know I can never do so..... that was my fault..... the industry can and will do more around the issue of gambling addiction and responsible gambling. I’d much rather talk to them and build a consensus instead of saying it’s unethical or they are the villains of the piece, just so a minority of a minority who blame all their ills on them get their way (their money back, but what use is that when your a addict).

As I’ve alluded too, my eyes have been opened

I think after 9pm, and banning live during sporting events (horse racing obviously not) is probably the way to go..... problem is, campaigners have got their teeth stuck into it now and it will go the way of smoking and booze.....

For me, funding more on education, especially state schools, and better treatment provision and services would go a long way, instead of the hysteria of battering the industry, they want to learn from the likes of me.... yet some would rather blame them for all their woes. It’s the world we live in.

As I say, millions are ok with it...... it’s my problem and I have to deal with it.

And this is why your opinion matters more than any journalist who are chasing likes and followers.

Thank you, you don’t know how much means to me hearing that at times. I used to be banging my head against a brick wall debating with campaigners, waste of time, no one else views matters but their own. I’m a lot more chilled and sanguine now.....

You only have to see twitter to look how deluded some are.

You are right of course, it is a legal business. One which expanded massively due to relaxed regulations when New Labour were in government, the sole aim to generate extra tax revenue. It was then that the growth of high street betting shops in poor areas began to manifest. A very cynical strategy by the gambling industry. Not sure how that type of activity cannot be classed as unethical? Another cynical ploy by the gambling industry is of course getting their brand closely associated with professional sport.

Professional football functioned for many years without being beholden to the gambling industry. My club Derby County founded in 1884 managed to survive 134 years without depending on funding from a Gibraltar licensed online casino company (32red). I do find it a bit sad that the club, under the ownership of Mr Morris feels the necessity to embrace this type of sponsorship. These are my personal views and I do not subscribe to any journalistic mantra, nor do I follow twitter posters on the subject.

I support Derby County Football Club and have since way before Sky Bet was dreamt up. At the same time I don't agree with the aggressive marketing of the gambling industry. So yes it's a bit of a moral dilemma. I don't buy replica shirts or any other marketing merchandise. I do buy tickets and subscribe to Rams TV when I am abroad. Hopefully that money goes to the club, not SKY Bet. If you are suggesting that I should choose to stop supporting DCFC due a sponsorship issue..... well I am a bit reluctant to do so.

I am saying that there might be the odd person who stops because of the hypocritical drivel written in the Telegraph.People who never bothered to think about Sky Bet involvement
