I think after 9pm, and banning live during sporting events (horse racing obviously not) is probably the way to go..... problem is, campaigners have got their teeth stuck into it now and it will go the way of smoking and booze..... One which expanded massively due to relaxed regulations when New Labour were in government, the sole aim to generate extra tax revenue. It was then that the growth of high street betting shops in poor areas began to manifest. A very cynical strategy by the gambling industry. Not sure how that type of activity cannot be classed as unethical? Another cynical ploy by the gambling industry is of course getting their brand closely associated with professional sport. Professional football functioned for many years without being beholden to the gambling industry. My club Derby County founded in 1884 managed to survive 134 years without depending on funding from a Gibraltar licensed online casino company (32red). I do find it a bit sad that the club, under the ownership of Mr Morris feels the necessity to embrace this type of sponsorship. I do buy tickets and subscribe to Rams TV when I am abroad. Hopefully that money goes to the club, not SKY Bet.
