How long do you watch a conversation before settling on the most irrelevant input possible? ?

Do you have a little notebook?

It’s not irrelevant because there is so much hypocrisy about gambling.

How many people gamble on the National Lottery and do you think that’s ok

I don't disagree that gambling in football is pretty poisonous, and a lot of the betting firms (including 32 Red) are atrocious. That said, there are worse aspects (FOBTs for example) than football gambling...

But it isn't fair for Derby to be singled out by this, because in reality we are just innovating within the space we operate in. I'd be happy if gambling firms were excluded from sponsorship like tobacco etc, but... they aren't. It is not reasonable to expect clubs the arbiters of morality within the game when you incentivise innovation with gambling sponsors.

Here's another great article from The Metro. I like this one because it centres on the whole hoo-ha around Rooney's signing, including the gambling links.

This one is a very good article as well. Shows how hypocritical comments have been.

... Unforgettably  my grandmother told me as I was approaching an adult that if you ever go in a casino just look at all the decor, the staff because you are paying for it...

With respect, your grandmother should have spent less time lecturing you about gambling, and more time advising on the dangers of approaching adults!

Oh wait...

I’ll open up more about it on my next live vlog on the 18th August at 8pm..... believe me I’m not anti gambling industry at all..... far from it..... rather consensus and talk to them rather than shout down and be bitter about them..... some anti gambling campaigners really have been hypocritical, they’ve also reacted how I expected them to, and some of the stuff they do I’ve seen first hand..... just because some of us rather be moderate and build relationships with others around responsible gambling has been not very nice to say the least. If you have a moderate or opposing view.... they will go after you. Straight out of a certain political playbook

Think however this will be the thing that will change the way advertising is done around gambling.....

Looking forward to the vlog. Always good to listen to someone with some insight into a topic.

Mel Morris will be loving all of this - It's giving DCFC even more exposure on a massive scale. 32Red will be loving this and it wouldn't surprise me if their media teams, both DCFC and 32Red knew it would have this kind of reaction.

Let's be honest, Rooney having 32 on his back playing for Derby doesn't really mean a lot to most people. National newspapers talking about this is the best publicity stunt that both club and sponsor could have wished for.

Keep it coming media journalists from around the world, your making our little club from Derbyshire quite famous ?

But of course, just to clarify it for any Gumps tuning in, we're still not as famous as you.

I'm not seeing that at all... I'm seeing 3-2... like a subliminal message... it has to be tomorrows scoreline... This may be the game I place my first bet in 30 years on a single footy match!
