The silk scarf that was around in the mid- to late-1970’s was often tied around the wrist; there are one or two items around which sell for about £30 today; I well remember the blue and red style from the late 70’s / early 80’s; but still the best are the traditional black and white ‘bar’ scarf.

The one with the orange stripe is from 1980/81 I think when we had the orange Le Coq Sportif away kit. Could make a come back perhapsch?

Some "slik" ones.

Brilliant!

Must admit though, I don't recognise any of them.  I reckon I must have had maybe 3 different ones (silk), and almost certainly between '76 - '80? (maybe not as late as that?)

Sadly, there is no silk in my wardrobe, but I've just found these...
3 x DCFC specific scarves (inc Mel's gift, of course)

plus the following, that don't appear to be actual DCFC scarves, but I do occasionally wear them t' match of bitter a winter's eve:

2 x "Barcode" stylee Black & White stripes.
1 x Black with thin white stripes.
1 x Black & White tartan.

Sadly, there is no silk in my wardrobe, apart from my stockings which I wear on most bank holidays with my red ? but I've just found these...

Can you still get silk scarves? I love a scarf but find the usual ones very bulky. I currently have the first one you posted @Anna but unless it's below freezing it's far too warm to wear round neck and far too bulky to tie round wrist. Mel's scarf is even warmer!

A nice little silk number - but probably longer than the 70s 80s ones - would suit me fine.

Had a silk scarf on my wrist for 72/73 season age 15, that cost me 60p. Was offered £1 by a Juventus fan in the Ley Stand before the semi-final. Sold it for £2. Probably jinxed the result, so my fault we were not euro champs. I still carry the guilt!

This is my dad's scarf, which is old. Not sure how old, but can anyone help date it? late 60s/early 70s maybe?

Me and mine at Wembley.

Have to say, i've not been a fan of the scarves in the megastore for a while. Like most things in there, they are pretty generic. Some crackers on this thread though, it would be nice to see a variety of scarves from the ages at games.

This is my original scarf , bought for me by my girlfriend at the time if my memory serves me correctly. I am pretty sure it came from the Brian Clough era before the DCFC marketing team got to work on the logo.My guess is it would be 1968 or 1969FF6A59B2-6B86-4EE4-8D46-347B521F99FE.thumb.jpeg.b585c8b625a0342d688872316bab8611.jpeg
