It's a shame the game will be on a Tuesday/Wednesday. If it was a saturday we could have flown over first thing in the morning and returned on the Sunday. Flights, hotel and food for less than £100 without booking any days off work.

Find something vaguely work related that's happening in Austria that week and convince the bosses it would be in the companies best interest for you to attend.

Ah, nice - whoever edits the wikipedia has put the bracket in QF friendly order, rather than actual game order. Much clearer. Whoever wins out of Ajax/Atletico is going to the semis for sure.

Bayern - 2nd in their national league (3 groups). Topped their group containing Spurs, Red Star, and Olympiakos
Dinamo - 2nd in their national league. 2nd in group behind Atalanta, but ahead of Man City and Shakhtar. Beat Kyiv in the Play-offs
Benfica - 1st in their national league (2 groups). Topped their group containing Lyon, Leipzig and Zenit
Liverpool - U18s are 2nd in the league (2 groups). They lost out on the title to us last year on GD. Topped their group containing Salzburg, Genk and Napoli
Red Star - Unsure on league standing. 2nd in group behind Bayern, but ahead of Spurs and Olympiakos
Midtjylland - 7th in their national league. Beat Elfsborg, Zrinjski and Lille.
Ajax - 6th in their national league. Topped their group containing Lille, Chelsea, and Valencia
Atl Madrid - 2nd in their national league (7 groups). 2nd in group behind Juventus, but ahead of Leverkusen and Lokomotiv
Salzburg - 1st in their national league. 2nd in group behind Liverpool, but ahead of Genk and Napoli
Atalanta - 1st in their national league. Topped their group containing Dinamo, Man City, and Shakhtar
Lyon - 5th in their national league (4 groups). 2nd in group behind Benfica, but ahead of Leipzig and Zenit
Inter - 3rd in their national league. Topped their group containing Dortmund, Slavia Praha, and Barcelona
Rennes - 10th in their national league (2 groups). Beat Brodarac, Petach-Tikva and Brugge.
Juventus - 4th in their national league. Topped their group containing Alt Madrid, Leverkusen, and Lokomotiv
Real Madrid - 1st in their national league (7 groups). Topped their group containing Brugge, PSG and Galatasaray

I'm not sure if we're on the good side of the draw or the bad side. Atalanta are the team to watch. Won their league last season and topping it this season. Benfica are flying ahead in their U19 league, and Salzburg probably are too. Real Madrid the other danger side based on how they're doing in their national league. On balance we probably have the tougher half.

Sibley and Whittaker have been involved in both FA Cup ties.

Do they play in the UEFA Youth League or the cup against Man Utd? I suppose if the Youth League is on the 3rd there's a chance for both, but surely not if its on the 4th.

Is this this year? Last year it was won by Real Zaragoza U18

Decent draw you’d think. Looks to be a winnable tie, on paper at least. The young lads just have to keep believing that they can beat anyone!

That’s just it. These young lads we have, don’t have arrogance but don’t have any fear, they do believe they can beat anyone. It’s brilliant.

15 year old Roberts (GK), makes the bench today for the first time. Presumably, Foster is 3rd GK for the first team today due to Hamer being ineligible (Ravas on the bench).

Halwax
Bardell  Solomon  Cashin  Charles*
Matthews  Thompson  Rogers
Wilson  Stretton  Archie*

*The teamsheet suggests Archie and Charles will be the other way round.
