Not really interesting but i always see Marcus Tudgay in allenton on a push bike ?. Think he lives in chellaston.

Always?  Like any hour of the day, any day of the week?  Has he got a basket full of cats? Got a sony Walkman attached to his bike with speakers blasting out the cheeky girls on repeat?

Many moons ago, when I was a youngster, my cousin and I used to go to the Racecourse and sneak through the gap in the metal fence and watch Derbyshire play cricket. One time, I went alone. I played a game of cricket with another two lads. after a while, their dad shouted "come on boys". The dad was not other than the mighty Brian Clough. As Harry Hill would say, "what's the chances of that happening".

true by the way

I went on a college night course for CAD a few years back, thought the guy next to me looked a bit like Marcus Tudgay, turned out to be his older brother.

I met Stephen Bywater at a services towards Liverpool the day before the Anfield whooping. There were other players sitting having a snack too but it was Bywater I said hello to; while he was buying a porno mag.

I worked in a shop in Eastwood once and did a special order for a Mrs Buckley. It turned out to be Steve Buckley's mum. She was lovely. She told me that Steve was missing playing and at a bit of a loss. She said that Alan had never been happier and she always knew that Alan would do really well in management as he was really bright...'unfortunately, our Steve is a bit too thick to be a manager' ?

Thick he might be but he gives lovely tummy rubs and sometimes tickles me behind my ear just right.

I went into our small local shop before 9am one Sunday morning many years ago to get a paper or some such. There was a oldish bloke at the counter paying for his 2 items. He'd bought a large, white sliced loaf and a bottle of vodka. As he paid he said ' Look after yourself young man' to the young chap behind the counter. The rest of the story tells itself. I felt a bit sad at the time.

Our postman used to be Kevin Hector. I gave him a pack of tinnies one Christmas - Tetley's Creamflow Bitter, if I remember.

Stopped in the Radison blue Hotel on Canary Wharf with my son as part of going to see Muse at the O2, and found the whole Derby squad there for the match with Charlton next day. And we shared a lift-ride with Johnny Russell and Chris Martin. I embarrassed my son when I shook Johnny's hand and said "Hi, I'm you future father-in-law", because my daughter had the hots for him! Shortly after he announced his engagement, but no to my daughter!

My daughter was in the same class as Billy Dwarf's son, but it didn't last long.

Saw Roy Macfarland at the end of Chapel Street in Duffield, and apart from his hair being grey and a bit thinner, he looked like the Roy Mac of old!

Also saw Johnny Russell near the White Hart in Duffield.

Met John McGovern  in the Post Office at Park Farm, Allestree - he was taking his mum shopping, and started talking with me as though we were good friends. He is a lovely bloke, althuogh with misguided loyalties!

Oh, and while I lived in Chaddesden with Mum and Dad, our postman looked like Alan Hinton.

After the 2-0 victory against forest in the FA cup I saw David Swindlehurst in the Carrington Club. He was on the phone to his wife, clearly having an argument because she wanted to go out in Nottingham. He didn’t think it was a good idea. A very vivid memory for some reason.

When Benito Carbone was playing for Bradford I was living in Leeds. I was in Moortown Sainsbury’s on a Sunday (10:15am approximately) when someone ran their trolley into the back of my leg. It was the aforementioned Italian. No he wasn’t sat in the trolley before anyone says/thinks it. Vague recollection that his wife was nice though.

Nigel Callaghan was DJ at my wedding

My brother was on holiday and met him. Said he was playing "keepy-up" with a football. "Didn't you used to play for Derby?" asked my brother...Nige laughed and said "Yes."

My son played against one of Robbie Savage's sons in an u12s cricket match, Poynton vs Alderley Edge. Robbie was with the other dads sat on a deckchair on the boundary. Got my missus to bring his book back for signing. All the lads on my son's team got him to sign their cricket bats. Decent bloke actually, very down to earth.

I bought drinks for Lubos Kubic & Ivo Knoflicek in the Pink Coconut

Had my breakfast cooked by Marco Gabbiadini at his York hotel before he sat with us & told us that his knee problems were caused by the concrete floor at the gym at the RamArena

Bought a paper at Simon Clough's newsagent in West Bridgford with Brian Clough sat at the side of the counter . "i've just read your book" I said " but I only enjoyed the first half as I'm a Derby Fan". "Ah" he said looking to the ceiling "Great days"

Once pulled up next to Phil Gee on a moped in Corfu. " Don't tell Arthur Cox i'm on this, i'm not allowed on bikes". Yeah, like i've got Arthur's phone number & i'm gonna ring him up !!!

I once served Emanuel Villa when I was working in a petrol station, he was wearing flip flops and driving a Smart car.

Also used to see Paul Williams in the local newsagents fairly regularly, that man loved a Jaffa Cake.

True biscuit man, @uttoxram75 will be pleased.

Was served coffee by the great BC whilst queuing for tickets at some ridiculously early hour at the BBG! Must have been European Cup, because STs had cup vouchers in those days!

Think it was the Benfica game, as he did the same for me,my dad and grandad.
