David
A host of English clubs are chasing highly-rated Dutch forward Michael de Leeuw. De Leeuw has just finished as top scorer in the Dutch second division with BV Veendam with 25 goals. But Veendam are in severe financial trouble and are facing a bankruptcy hearing later this month. Eredivisie sides Groningen, FC Utrecht and Heracles are very keen on De Leeuw, but they are not alone. Championship clubs Middlesbrough, Sheffield United and Derby County are all said to be considering bids. Veendam admit the interest in their star player is big, with managing director Jan Korte saying: "They all show serious interest." http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11680_6126601,00.html
