@CWC1983 recommends:-

Rhoderick dhu, 100 yards from central station and the Horseshoe bar are traditional boozers.

Down Merchant city, Molly Malones, and next door Boteco da Brasil. The O Neil's up the road is big and has a good atmostphere.

Out of the centre near Ashton lane is Tennants bar.

Glasgow Rangers Pubs

For the Celtic swaying Rams @David lots of pubs around The Barrowlands like the traditional boozer featured in the recent Billy Connely documentary The Saracen Head http://www.saracenhead.com/

The Tennent's brewery tour is a good laugh

Denniston BBQ does the best beefburgers in the city

Gallowgate and the barras are very much the Celtic end of town

The Kelvinhall museum and gallery is worth a walk around

there are some lovely parks, Bellahuson, Kelvingrove, Pollark country park, Alexandria Park and Possil Park

If you enjoy roundabouts until you're dizzy, go for a relaxing drive around East Kilbride

Glasgow's most beloved statue is of Lord Nelson. He's got a traffic cone on his head.

Great shout. Their range of German style beers are worth a try especially their Weisse beer.

https://www.sixdnorth.co.uk/glasgow/

We were there after the semi final. Brilliant range of cask beers for a session. Must have 30 on tap.

Bit of advice for the travelling fans. Don't be tempted by the usual brands ie Wetherspoons, Walkabout etc,  There's so much to explore and enjoy pub/drink wise in Glasgow.

I had a look at the bar recommendations on the Follow Follow thread......I came out in a cold sweat ?

Think as a football purist I will save the pennies and see higher quality opposition down at Burton ?

Here comes Jimbo with the usual put downs......zzzzzz

You stick to Burton pal, the rest of Derby travelling fans will widen their horizons.

Frank obviously thinks its worthwhile opposition, but you know best eh?

Pedant’s corner..isn’t it the Duke of Wellington. And Kelvingrove has a great pizza place (Baffo) next to Brewdog, so somewhere for @Inverurie Ram to hang out when everyone else goes for a hipster beer ?

@2tups ya can keep your hipster beer. I was in the Inverurie (UK's fastest growing town) Brewdog a few weeks ago, 3 bottles of beer and a pink gin cost me £25, we didn't hang around for another drink, straight to The Gordon Highlander for the same drinks for £14.

Just walked past the Inverurie Brewdog, lifeless and emptier than the City Ground, just the odd corporate kid combing his silly beard and drinking beer that tastes worse than a cucumbered flavoured soda stream with a dash of the Avon Ladies best selling Yardley All Gold perfume thrown in for good measure!

Johnny Depp Shandies All Round.

Empty and soulless and Rip Off Central Inverurie Brewdog.

We have our own dcfc supporting actor Robert Lindsay and six degrees north owner Robert Lindsay.

I'm looking forward to his Stonehaven Midsummer Beer Festival next weekend. http://midsummerbeerhappening.co.uk/
