Skybet odds on Frank to Chelsea are now 2/7 so it doesn't look good for us!

Pretty sure Ross McCormack was even shorter odds to join us in 16/17 season but never did and it was a load of baloney.

The bookies are not always right. Most of it is done by an algorithm anyway.

We won’t this season either. Frank gone by next weekend I reckon myself, we’ll see tho. About 70% likely I’d say atm.

Be very disappointed in Lampard if that was the case.

Odds of 2/7 have an implied probability of 77.5% - this factors in an overround so speculatively 75% chance. One bookmaker is nowhere near enough a big enough sample size to draw any relevant conclusions and these types of markets are pretty gimmicky anyway. Yes I work for a bookmaker.

2MILL compared to the several millions spent by 6 managers all trying to make their mark with their own team is paltry by comparison.

Yeah, but getting £2 million for an absolute duffer was pretty good business!

And of course if we get a new manager in he won't want to play some of the players of the old manager because they don't fit his style. We are then in a transition season. Sound familiar? It all makes me think of poor old Sisyphus who was condemned for ever to push a boulder up a mountain and when he nearly reached the top it rolled back down again. Reminds me a bit of Derby in recent years!

Transition decade. You heard it first from Rampage.

I could be the ultimate optimist and hope Frank can emulate Brian but I’ll settle for Nigel at the moment.  Not since Nigel Clough have we had the same manager starting consecutive seasons at the helm.

2012/13 (and before) - Nigel Clough

2013/14 - Nigel Clough

2014/15 - Steve McLaren

2015/16 - Paul Clement

2016/17 - Nigel Pearson

2017/18 - Gary Rowett

2018/19 - Frank Lampard

2019/20 - ?????????????

Lets hope for a bit of stability for a change!!!!

Looking unlikely
