Reasons to be cheerful...

It is unlikely we will lose more games than we win next season.

Many of the senior players people have been campaigning to leave will leave.

It is likely to be a busy transfer window - which is always exciting.

Chris Martin “should we play him or sell him” threads will be all the rage again.

The Forest fixture is still a thing.

More games too look forward to than in the Prem.

It should take longer to be reminded we only got 11 points last time we were in the Prem.

Cheer up chickens! ???

Agree o/p. Overall, I do not think (certainly without the loan players) we were ready for the Premiership. Let Frank get more experience and permanent players then really go for it next season.

Been seeing this a lot.

@David did the research... only 1 team in 10 years has signed less than 11 players when getting promoted... so the team not being ready aspect is nonsense.

I don't disagree with your sentiment, just want to dispel that particular trope.

Ironic that the song goes "What will be, will be. We're going to Wembley"

Yet if you lose there some react like the PL has shut its door and we now lie in ruins with a complete rebuild ahead.

We were here 5 years ago. We have lost 2 semi finals and we were here yesterday. That's all on the back of...

"OMG we lost to QPR what an opportunity! The league was weak this year and next year it's stronger than ever! Thorne will go, Wisdom will go, Bamford will go... we need a complete rebuild!!"

Did the PL shut it's doors? Did QPR go on to conquer the world? Did the Championship get so much more incredibly tough so that only giants like Bournemouth could compete?

We have the best U18 team in the country. Huge reason to be cheerful.

And the best young managerial team in the country too, tough yesterday but the future is very bright.

FL and JM will have learned a lot and that will show during the recruitment drive and what follows on 2019-20 season.

COYFR ???????????

The way I see it...

- Frank Lampard is still stating his continued commitment to Derby.

- Frank, Jody, Shay, etc. have both done an incredible job in their first complete season at Derby County, (under 18s being best in the country, senior squad finishing 6th, getting to Wembley, uniting the fans, playing some incredible football)

- I don't think we were fully ready for the Premiership and are still building, Frank is learning still!

- Tomori has already said that he would consider another year on loan to us from Chelsea.

Given all of the above was done in year 1, this gives me great hope and excitement for the future. If Frank and co. stay then there is a lot telling us that next season can be even better. As often said, we are a team in transition and all we should be doing is taking the fan unity we've all gained this year into next season. Miserable few days ahead but we'll move on and August will be here before we know it.

Okay, reasons to be cheerful...

1.  We aren't Forest

2.  We aren't Leeds

3.  We haven't got pink seats

4.  We don't sit on a bucket

5.  Fawaz isn't suing us

6.  We'll get more than 11pts next season

7.  We can get the Brian Clough Trophy back
