It won't. I'm relieved that we have STs so got tickets on Friday, dont think i would have coped today....

Friday was bad enough, I hate doing anything like booking tickets online and would have launched my laptop today.

Tough day that worked out for me.  I manage2 or 3 games a year but I am no less of a fan than those that are able to justify a season ticket.  I rely on my old friends who are season ticket holders and they made the mistake of going on line at 1-55 q number 54,092!  Eventually got a ticket at 5.30 just as I got off a plane and just after I got the message of all sold out.  Lots of options how to do this and nothing is perfect.  Thought it as unfair that season ticket holders could get 3 tickets, thought it wrong to release the blocks in dribs, thought it wrong to open queuing before 2 but it having a negative impact, thought the variable queuing times for ppl joining at the same time was awful.

Wow. Well done. Hope you are on cloud nine after the game, then we all will be. Glad you got your ticket and did not have to go on the 'Who didn't get a ticket/ticket wanted?' thread. Miserable gets to the back of the queue there. lol

Understandable that currently there are a number of people upset they have missed out.

Oh dear lord. For those who haven't read through previous posts....

The queueing DID NOT open early! Anybody who was online before 2pm got allocated a RANDOM number.... there was no queue before 2pm..... just like there was no queue before 10am on Friday...

Shouldn’t have allowed any sense that queuing had opened.  I am grateful to my mate who went through this for me.

In todays world though it cant be difficult to tier the process in a fairer way eg ...STH 1 ticket per person then anyone whos attended 10 games plus then 5 games plus and then general sale is for STH first who can get one more ticket per person ( because if a STH can take another Derby fan who's maybe not a STH this may encourage them to purchase one ) then general sale starts with club members home and away then lastly general sale to anyone who has a fan ID

This surely rewards the fans who've actually supported the club by attending games and spending there money on the club  and who have spent money travelling etc on wet and horrible tuesday nights in places like Blackburn and Middlesbrough at midday on a saturday when it was on TV and just seems a fairer method...it can't be difficult surely

I think it's  probably a timescale issue as to why the club went down the route they did. I'm not saying your way is wrong and the way it was dealt with was perfect but you have broken it down into quite a lot of phases. I didn't get a ticket myself, so I have ever reason to feel aggrieved. Hopefully the club will find a better process for when we're chasing the treble in a few years time as an established title chasing Prem team. ?

In my opinion (and I am a season ticket holder and away member) this Villa way of selling is so much fairer than ours.

Members and season ticket holders get their seat, folks who are not in those two categories but have been to games get a dam good chance of getting a seat, and then perhaps people who haven't been to enough to qualify for the above get to fight it out in a general sale.

I pains me to see our friends on here not getting a seat in the Derby lottery, but then seeing season ticket holders gloating that they have got an extra 6 tickets.

Sorry but I'm basically a socialist at heart.

I can only speak for this particular STH who managed to get an "extra 6 tickets" today, but...

Of those 6, one is almost certain to drop out, as the 6 + 1 isn't looking practical, particularly as one is a junior.  Providing the junior ticket (in amongst the batch of 6) can be upgraded to adult, the odd ticket out of 7 (purchased on Friday) will almost certainly be passed on to someone in the "Failed" thread.  I have my eye on someone, but am loathe to build any hopes up just yet!

Which leaves us with a straight batch of 6...

1 x "Gold" STH (Me).

1 x 3 home games this season, but all bought on my name, so no purchase history (and no Rams ID prior to this weekend).  Similar number of games for many previous seasons.  She'll build up her own purchase history next season (hindsight!), but rest assured the money will still come from the same joint bank account!

1 x 6 home games this season, but all tickets again purchased through me.  As above, tickets for previous seasons all bought through me, so no Rams ID or purchase history.

1 x 7 games this season.  Nearer to 15 games for each of the previous 4/5 seasons.  Own Rams ID & purchase history.  Could have reduced what appears to be "an extra six" by buying their own pair, but we decided to lump them in to my account (family & friends), in the hope of getting six together.

1 x 5 home games this season, + 4 away.  Own ID & Purchase history, but each of those away games were through "Tickets4Troops".  Similar number of games for the last 3 years.  Very little attendance before that, due to being away fighting wars to try to keep this country of ours safe and fair.  No ST due to starting a new life down in Cornwall, due to the strains and stresses of said wars.  As above, added to my family & friends, to avoid us all going as 3 x separate pairs.  That was a gamble which fortunately paid off on this occasion.

1 x partner of above - complete blagger - Never been to a Rams game before, as far as I'm aware.

Not the most hardcore group admittedly, but other than that last one, I don't think there's too much to feel guilty about or ashamed of (and I'd even argue the case for the last one on that list, knowing the importance in the equation with regards to person No 5!)

Totally agree it's all unfair, and totally agree there has to be a better way, even it it remains imperfect.  But it is what it is, and we all knew the rules before this weekend started.  I've already stated somewhere on these pages that, should we ever face this situation again, that second person on the list will immediately become a new STH, (if she isn't already by then), and the others can fend for themselves.

It's not been a particularly enjoyable experience, but I concede we have been extremely lucky, and we can now relax and enjoy from here on in, so it's been worth it.  And whilst I feel sorry for those who have missed out, I won't be apologising to them, and won't be bullied into feeling guilty.  Every single one of "Our friends on here, who have missed out" could have purchased a 19/20 ST on Thursday, and purchased their "guaranteed" Wembley ticket on Friday.

Before I lose my voice on Monday, I'll dedicate my first 30mins chanting to those that couldn't get... but as for gloating, that would be as offensive to do it, as it would be to be accused of it!

Totally agree. Nerve wracking and horrible experience to be honest trying to get tickets, let alone failing to get one. Hope the fans that did not get tickets can have a great time watching it elsewhere.

It didnt? It came up with the queue countdown, and it did say that anybody on that page would be allocated a random position in the queue (alongside everyone else that got there before the set time)....

Well if that's the case then no idea how or why that happened and definitely understand your confusion and frustration.... but also I went on to look at something else at just after 1.30 and it came up with the page I described before.

I really don’t know how he persevered, I was flying so missed out on the fun.  Unless we get 50 k there will always be deserving fans who miss out and I was very close to being one of them
