Can I just say it’s not ‘unfair’ that they went on ‘general sale’ (it was hardly general sale).

You had to have an already registered fan ID, so Villa and Chelsea fans claiming they have bought through us are talking crap.

Season tickets getting priority is given, the financial outlay and support all season should be rewarded with these days.

As far as I’m concerned, anyone else getting one should be a total lottery. I understand it’s hard for people to make games for cost/location/health etc, but unless the club listen to everybody’s stories individually there is no fairer way of doing it.

Villa’s way is hardly fairer, they’ll be arguing that they missed a bracket by 1 game or they went to every away game and still don’t get one.

I think the most unfair thing about our allocation is that season ticket holders could go back on today and buy additional tickets for any family or friends that wanted to go to the match because it is at Wembley at the same time as non season ticket holders who have been to matches (home or away) this season.

The ones with recent matchday purchases should have had priority in my opinion. If you were there that freezing cold night at Preston, or in the snow at Middlesbrough for a lunchtime kick off when we were on the telly you bloody deserve to be at Wembley over someone who just fancies a day out OR who doesn't go to games any more for whatever reason.

There's not many things about Sheffield Wednesday that I like  ? but I have to say they seem to have done a better job of this with their home and way points system.

After these people got their tickets, then the lottery for the rest could have started.

I don't know @RiddingsRam at all, but I know he goes to matches quite regularly because he talks about them on here. I'm sure there are many similar others who have missed out. Keep in touch with the club, because there will be returns - there always are and I hope you get sorted.

Unfortunately that trick didn't work for me. I was on the page from 1520 to 1550 before the button turned into Sold Out ?

Yep me too, went on bang on 2pm, was on the ticket page by 2:30, gave up refreshing at 3pm

In my opinion (and I am a season ticket holder and away member) this Villa way of selling is so much fairer than ours.

Members and season ticket holders get their seat, folks who are not in those two categories but have been to games get a dam good chance of getting a seat, and then perhaps people who haven't been to enough to qualify for the above get to fight it out in a general sale.

I pains me to see our friends on here not getting a seat in the Derby lottery, but then seeing season ticket holders gloating that they have got an extra 6 tickets.

Sorry but I'm basically a socialist at heart.

Then isn't that in itself ridiculous shouldn't the fan that's come on 20 mins earlier be infront of the fan that's come on at spot on 2pm . Tell you what next time were in a queue together I will say join it infront of you and see what you say to me lol .

This wasn't fair at all .

Tickets went on sale at 2pm and that’s when the queue started. People logging in early did so to have a random chance of being at the front of the queue ahead of people joining the queue after 2pm. This random system was fair.

Got to say the most frustrating thing was when eventually we got to the buy ticket page, the button never changed colour in the 30 mins I was on it.

If you don’t have a purchase history off your account the button would never have gone green. I was on two accounts. The account belonging to someone who has attended games this year but hasn’t bought the tickets was stuck on grey for 20 mins. Logged out, then logged into mine and it was green straight away.

Why have villa been given a higher allocation btw?

The 38k figure is from last year?

Not only fairer, but the load would have been spread out too.

I would have had a separate window for fans who attended 10 games, which would have left enough tickets spare for the occasional fan. 5 games would have reduced the leftover tickets by too much

Home and away tickets this season on my purchase history.

Ah well, I'm gutted but I'll still be down in the capital for it ?

Its based on their fanbase, the fact they have a bigger stadium than us means their allocation will always be bigger. I wonder what they would have given to the Baggies if they had got through. Back in 2007, they were given a bigger allocation than us. What really gets up my nose is the amount of tickets kept open for the corporate seating. Ok I know they pay mega bucks up front for all events for the year, but if they are not into football they don't turn up. Wembley should for every event contact by email all the corporate ticket holders and state reply yes or no if you are attending and if they don't reply that means no. Then they should be allowed to release the seats to be sold. This would make more money for Wembley, have more real football fans in the stadium and every one is a winner. It was embarrassing to watch the F.A cup final on Saturday teatime to see lots of spare seats. For the record it was 85,854, thats 4,146 corporate seats not used (there will be more on the 27th).

I thought if you bought the last 3 games of the season you were also included in it?

I get that there are people who aren’t season ticket holders who are just as much supporters, but at the end of the day the club is ran like a business and they wanted to increase next years season ticket sales (which definitely worked!) with the system.

A season ticket is a big outlay and commitment for a lot of people, so letting them have the opportunity to enjoy Wembley with a family member or two doesn’t sound too unreasonable.

I have a young family and wouldn’t fancy taking them all season just yet, but a one off big day out is great to hopefully get them in to it for years to come.

Thanks at @angieram I'm a season tolicket holder and been to 13 away games this year so do go quite regularly ! The tickets are for my brother in law's sons ! Who have both attended home and away games this year but weren't fortunate enough in today's lottery .
