BaaLocks Posted May 2, 2019 Share Posted May 2, 2019 I used to think Royal Crown Derby was great till I went on a factory tour and saw that most of it these days is just transfers - they just looked like a load of people putting the finishing touches to an Airfix kit. Brands to be proud of? Factories - not a brand as such but the first one was the Silk Mill. The owner got poisoned for it mind you. Team Sky Rolls Royve Aero Engines of course Candy Crush Lara Croft - Derby lass tha' knowz The term 'derby', there'd be no 'massive Manchester derby' without Shrove football We can be one twelfth proud of the whole football league I'll stop there, if only there was a poem or something that could remind us of all the things we should be proud of as Derbains (? - never quite known what someone from Derby is actually called - used to go for Derbonian but I think this is the latest monicker).
