The black swan

While all the talk is of a three-way tussle for 6th, Swansea are the dark horses everyone seems to be ignoring!

They may look too far off it at 5 points behind us, but like us they have three games left: a very winnable game at home to Hull Saturday, followed by home to us and then a trip to Blackburn final day. If they beat Hull and then us, which is entirely possible with their strong home form, they could be right in the mix depending on the Brizzle v us, Boro results.

Yeah, in the post QPR interview Colin Gibson said "better or match Bristol and Boro's results and we're 6th" and I immediately thought that wasn't true. If all 3 of us have an abysmal last 2/3 games, Swansea will likely take 6th.

They have left it too late I think. If we were to beat Bristol on Saturday, then we'd realistically need a point from two games to finish above them, considering goal difference. If Swansea were to finish above us, we'd have had such a melt down that we didn't deserve playoffs anyway.

This is extremely unlikely. And the reason is this: not only do they have to get great results themselves, they also have to rely on THREE other teams ALL failing to do the business.

That's why it's a massive long shot.  (150/1 at the bookies vs. 20-1 for Boro.)
