dog
Just been trying to find white pepper in our cupboards. Didn't find any. But I did find some cloves and nutmeg. Neither of which I have ever used. And where did they come from? What do you have in your cupboards that have sat there for years and which you cannot remember buying?

This is a few years ago now, maybe 10 years but still... my mum went away for a couple of weeks and we were between houses so we house sat for a bit. In her mahoosive larder we found a box of that powdered curry and rice you used to get with a best before date of 1989 and a tub of salt from Hillards! It was like being in a museum. Mostyn6
such a coincidence, had to spend about £15 on Sunday replacing all the herbs and spices I threw away as I was cooking a chilli from scratch! Hours earlier I went through the cupboards and found plenty of stuff with a 2015 date on! Flour, Pizza mix, garden peas, and all my spices. Rev
Guava halves, always guava halves. Every time we clear the cupboards there's a tin there, always out of date and with no-one in the house able to explain their presence.
