if only the remainers would!

2 weeks away and nothing's changed. My American friends can't believe we screwed up the negotiation and even the Democrats thought Trump would have done a better job. The Aussies in the group are staggered that after 3 years we're still stuck in. Their view of our politicians is that if their's betrayed the vote like ours are doing they would be invited to do something unpleasant with a Kangaroo! The Hungarian wants us to stay in so they get new roads and bridges.

The Hungarian is your only friend with any sense, it seems.

The last 3 years has been a real opener into how an incompetent country voted on their economic future with no real knowledge of the consequences, .

FTFY

And we still don't know what we are doing.

it's like selling your house without checking with a mortgage advisor and estate agent, then wondering why you are now renting.

Something that every tech expert as stated, that no such technology exists.

That was a bit of a sly move from the Brexit supporters. They said the technology exists, which it does.

It's called computers.

Unfortunately there is no software that does what they want it to, or any workable method that can be described to a developer in terms they could make it do what it needs to.

What a cosmopolitan melting pot Findern is … a veritable Salon of South Derbyshire ?

BREXIT will be the gift that just keeps giving on people not 'giving up' on their views …. there will be bitterness for years to come

The voters could only vote on the information that was provided by the Leave and Remain campaigns.

The outcome of Brexit was hazy to say the least but what the EU currently offered and where it was headed was much clearer, maybe a lot of people voted on what they didn't want to be rather than what they may become?

To add another dimension to your analogy maybe the person had owned a house of their own before and knew they would not be renting forever.

We were/are renting a place  with no control over the ever escalating cost, no influence with the landlord, and you can't even paint the place without his say so. Sometimes you reach a stage where you just want out and start over. Sure it'll be tough maybe for a while but you gotta do what you gotta do,

If you drop a frog in a pan of cold water, heat it slowly, it'll be too scared to jump out and will boil to death. That's us a wimpy frog scared of the big bad world and slowly being boiled out of existence.

Did you mention that the Landlord had also stuck a notice in the local paper inviting other renters to move into your house without paying rent?

We have a Syrian family! Actually I was in the USA, you want melting pots try California. Latest census puts Latinos and Hispanics (not sure of the distinction) at 51% of the population for first time ever. Apparently California wants independence and direct control!

There has been bitterness for years, hence the decisive referendum! Ooh I forgot it got the wrong answer so we'll do our best to ignore it!

Then the fact that every single exporter and importer, to say nothing of HMRC, would have to schedule their own development, write or implement a magic off-the-shelf solution, test it, integrate it with their existing systems on their development platform and finally roll it out across their production system in 17 weeks. The alternative of course is a 'hard' border, and seeing as there are over 300 crossing-points which would require 'securing' in the same timescale, perhaps they need to get their skates on.

Maybe they could get Grayling on the case to contract it out to an IT start-up - preferably one owning a couple of PCs AND a Mac, to cover all eventualities.

Well, Farage did say before the votes were even counted that if the Brexit lot lost by 48:52, that would not be decisive enough and they would demand another referendum.

So the madness continues.

Watched conservative MP Dominic Grieve on Newsnight. He stated that a hard brexit would be a disaster for the country. That he along with other tory MPs would stop a no deal brexit. Even if it caused the downfall of the government and the conservative party.

On the same programme Bernard Jenkin MP, who was there as a spokesman for Boris Johnson. Came out with all the usual brexit rhetoric. That good deals could be easily made with other countries using WTO rules. A hard brexit will hurt the EU more than us, that the EU want to negotiate a new deal. All statements that have been previously disproved.

At the same time reiterating that Johnson and his supporters are happy to have a no deal brexit. While admitting that a no deal would not be good for our automobile and agricultural industries.

How can anyone who wants to become our next PM, justifiably support any action, like a hard brexit, that will do irrevocable damage to it's people and it's economy?

I'd say the highlighted parts are opinion rather than the fact that they are painted to be!

That's just not true about the frogs.  They are in fact very sensitive temperature changes in their environment and will scramble out of any water that was getting uncomfortably warm.  And even back when some people thought that this was true, nobody was claiming it was because the frogs were too scared to jump out of the water, but rather that they simply didn't notice the gradual changes in water temperature.

You may have stumbled upon a perfect demonstration of some of the Brexit campaign.  Layer upon layer of misinformation.

Anecdotal evidence is true, true I tell you, but only if it's written on the side of a bus.

Patrick Minford a man held up as the most trustworthy and reliable economy forecaster by Jacob Rees Mogg and his ERG cohorts. Stated that leaving the EU would lead to the eradication of manufacturing in this country, leaving us only the design, marketing and hi-tech part.

Seriously? Our booming manufacturing industry? Bloody Brexit!

Has this guy been asleep for the last 30 years?
