Isn’t he a left back? Who has been replaced by Max lowe this season - hopefully his performance vs Who ever Scotland lost 3-0 against isn’t a normal performance

From 16/17 he has played more games at DM for Aberdeen

https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/graeme-shinnie/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/95950/saison/2018/wettbewerb/SC1/verein/370

18/19, 30 games, 2 at left back
17/18, 30 games, 4 at left back
16/17 35 games, 7 at left back
15/16 37 games, 22 at left back
14/15 37 games, 29 at left back (Inverness Caledonian Thistle)

If we are interested you would imagine this is where he has impressed, when operating with a small squad though versatility is great to have. Looks like a player that can play LB, LM, DM and CM

Agreed. Also so difficult to judge a player playing at that level...up against League 2/National Conference players half of the time.....

There is the odd John McGinn about too though.

Possibly, to be honest I've never heard of him and was too busy laughing at the scoreline v Kazakhstan to notice him, wouldn't have a clue what type of player he is.

Have to say though I kinda like these signings, they don't come with any expectation as an established Championship player does, no fee even better.

Looks like a Johnson replacement. Well need some cover in centre mid, maybe the sort of player to come on towards the end of games to shore up the midfield and stop us being overrun, which we have been too many times this season. Dunno how good he is, but on the face of it, on a free it makes sense. Better age and no doubt much lower wages than Johnson.

@RamNut there's a few on here that watch Aberdeen quite often, especially @CWC1983 and some of the Aberdeenshire Rams are occasionally dragged along to suffer the Pittodrie pies and Pittodrie seagulls and all the rest!

He runs around a lot like Craig Bryson, maybe a better tackler, but has a beard and a pointy nose and can get in the Scotland team now and again.

Here sing along..........bound to catch on at Pride Park this little belter!

Bringing down the wage line is the project here I believe but if he’s good enough it’s all good
