Good luck Bolton. Not the owners, could not give a toss about them but they are a famous old club and their fans. like Blackpool, Coventry etc, deserve better.

A founding member of the football league as well. One of only a handful of teams to have competed in every season of the football league. The list grows of those teams that have played in every season grows ever shorter - Notts County might be gone from it next year as well, Accrington arent the same Accrington. Fingers crossed Bolton don't go the same way - even if they have to sell everything not nailed down and drop down the leagues, as long as they can keep the name and the history alive there is always a chance they can come back much like Portsmouth are trying to do currently.

Accrington - Not all seasons were in the Football League. No longer exist

Stoke - Weren't part of the football league in the 1890-91 and 1908-19 seasons

Yes i did mention Accrington arent the same Accrington., but thanks for that Stoke info. I knew not all the founders had played every season, but seems hard to find a definitive list.

FYI, clubs in League 1 have wages capped at 60% although newly relegated sides can spend 75% and spend is monitored on a monthly basis. Owners can also donate cash.

bloody good idea. Thats what we need in the championship. Our wage bill would go from @£37m to £15m. Fantastic. It would be difficult for players to earn more than £10k per week.

Bliss.
