Mucker1884
He seems happy enough... broad smile externally, but that looks suspiciously like a titter from within, to me! ...and as for the Villa manager claiming that "security should have been better"... He's gonna look a right chump if a Villa fan ever gets on their pitch anytime soon!

That's like saying that being a criminal psychologist means you must be criminal scum. I’m sure if the psychologist said he enjoyed watching the crime and could understand it then I’d probably think he was a criminal scum to be honest ? Very different i would imagine. The Monica Seles point is vital here. Forget he was maybe egged on by his mates, forget he was smaller than Grealish, forget that he couldn’t land a decent punch. Sure Grealish is laughing and it’s all a clumsy farce. Sure Birmingham could do searches on the crowd, sure the stewarding could and should have been better - the need to be more alert, but most of all punishing the offender has to be a bigger deterrent. Life time ban, for a lad who may only go to the odd game is nothing. Grealish is a dislikeable bloke, I’d not mind seeing fall onto face in many ways. But what if he had a blade concealed on him and had used it. Grealish and many others wouldn’t be laughing then. This pitch invader needs a serious criminal prosecution for attempted assault and the maximum sentance permissible to act as a deterrent.
irobinson
Just seen Grealushs interview fair play to him laughed it off and described it as the best match of his life won the game for them - love him or hate him / he will play in the top flight

Alph
It was funny that he scored the winner! I hope it's a Villa fan that is looking after our flat cap ninja tonight!!
Derby blood
My view of the incident, is simple, a coward who thinks he is a big man, one on one this little runt of a man would be running for cover, a sad arse hole, who will now get locked up, and might bump into some really nasty lads inside, serve him right, anyone who hits someone from behind is a coward. In that time there have probably been 3 or 4 million people that have attended football matches in England and Scotland. 3 incidents, 2 of which I would say are major incidents. I'd say they are very isolated. Very isolated yes. https://twitter.com/SkySportsPL/status/1104806145347198977

I also can't understand why anyone would run onto a pitch a try to punch someone I've probably never even met. I'm sure you've been at a game and thought "I'd love to.... " do something you wouldn't do. Well, imagine being a stupid. Same feeling. Everyone has felt it about someone. Tbh Grealish has always seemed a smug fecker and I have thought I'd like to see that smug look wiped off his face. I forgot all about the animals that follow Birmingham City and never considered one would do it. I'm glad he's alright. I'm glad he scored the winner. But watching that **** *** run all that way to land his one shot, to do what many of us have felt like doing at some point in our lives, to run up, line the shot up and.... make a complete mess of it! Seeing the daft knobber waste his big moment to shine as a true hard man and end up getting jumped all over while Grealish gets a bit of a slap and ends up on his arse (but laughing)... it was just amusing. All the stuff about it being dangerous and it shouldn't happen and the guy is scum... I agree with it all. It's not a contradiction to say it was amusing and I can understand why he did it. I bet that Grealish's mates and possibly teammates will be cracking jokes about it. Would anyone bet against it. Probably wouldn't be the case if he was in a coma. If you found that funny then yeah, that's pretty twisted and spiteful to a bloke that's just playing a game. Grealish is a real talent. Lovely player to watch
