True, strictly, as there never was a year zero. So were you one of those people who didn't celebrate the start of the third millennium till 2001?

Just celebrated another new year. At my age you stop counting as you will discover

2010-11 to 2020-21.

Still a decade. Depends where you start

But the decade in question was the 10's.  2020/21 isn't in the 10's.

By your reckoning, it wouldn't have included the 2009/10 season.  Had we been relegated from the prem that season, the interesting fact from the OP would have been incorrect (as we'd have been in the prem for the first 5 months of the decade).

The decade in question has to include the 2009/10 season, and the 2019/20 season (and all in between).  11 football seasons to span a full calendar decade.

Whatever the reckoning, it’s fair to say the last 20 years have been underwhelming.

The previous 20 year tranches all had moments of achievement, whether it be merely consecutive years of top division football or actual titles, trophies, finals or seriously competing for titles / trophies.

This is the ice age of Derby’s history and I can’t wait for the big thaw.
