It has to be said Dominic Corks record as t20 coach is phenomenal. I wonder if he’s got his eye on taking over the other 2 formats, or if he’s just happy doing the t20

I like the article on Cricinfo which describes him as the sort of man who could sort out Brexit in the interval between innings. A good read, as is the rather surprisingly glowing account of the match.

The less said about this match, the better 🤦‍♂️

Ditto for the Sussex match. Minds on Saturday perhaps. Talking of which, interesting selection headache for Corky....Darren Stevens on fire at Kent, does he get the nod over Dal????

When I saw Hosein batting at 5 I was worried. I think 6 is to high.

Stevens has been on fire all summer in the championship, but never showed anything for us, so I’d probably stick with Dal.

Luis Reece warming up for the T20 😳

godleman got his century as well, and is still in.

What a remarkable turnaround!

Bat well tomorrow morning, a quick slog after lunch for an hour and we can declare 450-500 ahead with a day and half to bowl them out.

An excellent match - three career-bests for Derbyshire.

Reece (184) with the bat, ably supported by Dal (3-11 innings figures) and Hudson-Prentice (6-83 match figures). Good going, especially as Palladino limped out half way through Sussex's first innings and took no further part in the match apart from facing 1 ball batting with a runner.

Meanwhile, Darren Stevens, 43, recently of this parish, and a bit of a disaster, has scored 237 in Kent's 1st innings and followed it up with a match-willning 5-20 off 18 overs. Did he not like us?

Incidentally, Kent's win by 433 runs over mighty Yarkshire must be up there with one of the biggest county championship wins of all time.
