Wouldn't be surprised at all, a million for Hooper would be a decent buy for most clubs in this league. He's a Essex lad as well so maybe a return down South would be more favourable as well. Dangerous
its all well and good looking at strikers. The main problem this season is that the strikers are getting a poor service, apart from when Commons played. The priority must be a decent creative midfielder to work with/instead of Commons. vicky-27
It's not just in the paper now its on a few websites oooh im getting excited Derby County are being linked with a £1million summer bid for Ssausagehorpe striker Gary Hooper. Hooper has impressed in a struggling Iron side this season and his form has not gone unnoticed with Derby the latest club to be linked with a summer swoop. Scunny will be keen to keep hold of the 22-year-old but they realise any significant bid would have to be accepted and the Rams could be ready to stump up the cash. Scorchedturf
Of all the loan signings which one would you say was the best? The vast majority don't seem to work out, if we actually bought a couple like this lad maybe we would see an improvement in the commitment on the pitch. Who i dont think has played since he went back would be over the moon if we could sign him.

vicky-27
DERBY County are looking to bolster their striking department in the summer. The Rams have already been linked with a £1m move for 22-year-old Gary Hooper, who has scored 14 goals for Ssausagehorpe United this season. "Gary Hooper is a player we admire," said Nigel Clough, although the Rams manager was quick to point out that a number of names feature on his list of possible targets. "Being linked with players is no surprise. People will assume we will be in the market for a lot of players in the summer and we have got five or six targets," added Clough. "Our targets cover all departments of the team and striker is certainly a position we are looking at." Derby are likely to renew their interest in James Vaughan depending on Everton's plans for the striker. The 21-year-old is on loan at Leicester City where he has yet to start a game. He has made five appearances as a substitute for the Foxes, who are battling to secure a place in the Championship's end-of-season play-offs. Vaughan's loan spell at Derby was cut short by a knee injury after he had played only two games. Clough says changes to the striking department could also depend on what happens to the forwards currently at the club. "We have a couple who have only got a year left on their contracts," said Clough. The contracts of Rob Hulse, Kris Commons and Steve Davies have another year to run after this season. Clough has confirmed an interest in Crewe right-back John Brayford and Ado Den Haag's Danny Buijs, who can play right-back or in midfield. Derby are taking a look at Polish Under-21 forward Tomasz Cywka with a view to next season. Cywka is on loan from Wigan Athletic and impressed Clough in his first start in the goalless draw at Barnsley on Saturday. The 21-year-old's contract at Wigan expires in the summer.
