Ive sampled a fair share of American IPAs stateside and no doubt most are higher ABV than ours.

However, given they serve theirs normally colder and most typically have more bitterness (generally) then Americanram might just get the taste for our warmer served ales which tend to have a less bitter taste in comparison. If gets the taste ( or Boycie buys a few rounds) he might just sample more than he normally does
