£1mil for a loan that's going to last just over 3 months? That seems a little excessive...

And for a player with an injury list on a par with Thorne and Forsyth

Wonder if there might be something in the Carson rumour .  Perhaps Roos recent form might result in a loan swap till end of the season with view to a permanent each way .  Wouldn't like to lose Carson but we are haggling till the summer I reckon.

Derby have 18 games left to play, lets assume would have to pay all of Tyrone Mings Wages, which is supposed to be 23k a week.

1 million divided by 18 is 55k a week.  So that equates to 78k per game to have Tyrone Mings, that is assuming he plays every game for 90 minutes injury free.

Thanks Bournemouth, but no thanks.

Could we sign him in the summer? Do a deal for a loan now permanent in the summer when the likes of Butterfield Pearce Johnson Ledley all off the wage budget?

That works out as about £55,500 per game. With no disrespect to the lad intended, that's absolutely absurd money given he can't hold down a place at Bournemouth. Really can't see anyone coughing up that kind of wedge. It's probably what someone like Sergio Ramos gets paid.

Got to say I don’t necessarily believe a lot of what Nixon says, but Bournemouth do have an odd way of valuing players.

With this one though, aren’t you just stopping a young player getting game time, and for what exactly? Let’s face it, it’s a minimal amount for a Prem team
