Are our loan players really all that?

Not really rating any of the 3 loans tbh. Theres the odd wonderstrike from Harry but barring that I'm far from convinced.

Don't see any of them having a career at their parent club. Can't do it at Championship level, what makes folks think they're capable at Top 6 Prem?.

Young lads I know. Just don't see it.

Big no no from me.

Wilson has impressed me. I thought he was another Lawrence at the start of the season, but he's buckled down to life in the Championship and shown there's more to his game than free kicks and long range shots.

Tomori is really good for a young centre back. This is a position where players don't normally peak until their late 20's, so it's understandable that Tomori looks naive at times.

Mount is starting to worry me. He started like a house on fire, but he's struggling badly at the moment. He would've been dropped a while back if we weren't so short in his position.

Wilson and Tomori are very talented players with a long (baring injury) future ahead of them. I'm not so sure about Mount, because I don't see the commitment and I'm not sure of his best position.

I see both Wilson and Mount as inside forwards, and we do not have a good enough team to feed them. Tomori should be a midfield general.

Agreed. Without harping on if we had a 13/14 Thorne in the team we would look a lot better going forward. We don’t move the ball through the lines quick enough. When we do it (vs Boro) we look a totally different team.

It's interesting how different people see it differently. The one thing I think mount will always give you is effort and pressing and is the one that i'd say has the has the talent to go the furthest, and has shown it for us, hasn't shown for a while, but i'd think this is more of a dip than what is the norm for him

No sir. A dram too few if truth be known. On nights so watched it sober. As i do every game I can watch.  Tell me why you think that. Cheap shot to assume I'm on the sauce. The title is 'are they all that'. Answer it or don't bother fella.

Here we go

Its  a question. Interested in others thoughts.

No 'here we go' requested or required.

If you cant put your view across in a sensible manner pop off to the DET. You can red thumb folks on there without needing to back your opinion up with words.

'Can't do it at championship level' suggests they are out of their depth and no where near. We've all seen how good mount can be, and if he can have that become the norm, he will go far. wilson as the technique of a top 10 premier league player at least but the overall play of a championship player, hence why he's here. but this has been noticeably improving imo, especially compared to what we saw more early on. Tomori is the one i'm most sceptical about. Has pace and is good at tackling, but think has poor awareness and not great in the air.

Plus if you ask leicester fans if they saw a future england captain and absolute star striker in Harry Kane, i'd strongly suspect that they'd say no. Sometimes they just need an opportunity, and I hope these lads do and take it.

I'll be sleeping off the night shift so won't be around at dawn.

Incidentally. What are your thoughts?

I asked if they 'were all that'. Some interesting responses

Yours wasn't one of them

My take ..

Tomori - physical and pacey.. not a bad player but terrible in the air and positionally bad. Won't ever play for Chelsea in the prem unless he can improve those things. Champ at best/ lower prem

Mount - Looked the part at the start of the season, think he's got a lot of talent for his age. Has got the potential to dictate a game from midfield and score goals. For some reason he hasn't been getting involved as much going forward. Looks to have taken a whack in form and confidence. Not convinced he will play at the very top level but will likely have a great career in the prem. Haven't even noticed him in quite a few games recently.

Wilson - Brilliant left foot and strike, set piece specialist. Has got a lot of end product but some of his play inbetween isn't great, defensively weak and lightweight. Not sure if he will ever play for Liverpool but again will have a good career playing prem and international football. Not sure his best position.

Yeah mason Mount is poo! So poo he he’ll never play in the premier league and he’ll never get called up to the England squad......oh wait a minute.

Wilson - only double figures half way through the season

Tomori - the weakest of the three - has talent and will be a good player but also has issues with positioning (will come with time) but also isn’t good in the air and that might be his Achilles heel.

Are the Loan players all that.....yes they are!
