Agree about The Last Dance. Fantastic to see the psychology that goes into a true winner, the drive, the motivation, the dedication to be the best. It‘s a superb sports documentary that focuses on one of the greatest athletes who has graced this earth. The inner confidence that man has is incredible. Jordan comes across well, really driven to win and pushes all of his team mates buttons to get there. A fascinating and very entertaining watch, even if your not into basketball.

The 40 for 40 ESPN documentary on Jordan attempting a baseball career during his break from the Bulls is worth watching.

I haven't seen The last dance, so not sure if its covered in there.

I’ll check it out, cheers. His baseball career is covered in one episode but not great detail. Two episodes to go of the Last Dance, easily one of the best documentaries I’ve seen, love it!

I know it's more about TV shows....but, Watchable Telly..

Does anyone on here use a recent ish LG TV?

Our set,  LG , but is at least 12 years old . With the newer ones, I've read so much about the web OS and the magic remote etc. Some seem to love it, and others say it's rubbish. I realise you get opinions like that about pretty much anything!

Just wondered if anyone was using it, and their opinion.

I've been watching a programme about a group of people in WW2, Where they dress up as Soldiers and patrol where they live, The Captain is a bit aloof, His Sergeant is the clever one, Then there's this Corporal who's a Butcher, He keeps saying don't panic don't panic...very funny it is, An old chap called Godfrey, He always needs the bathroom and won't pee outside, A soppy lad called Pike he always gets into trouble, He makes me laugh.

All the Wives in the Village where they live often go to the Butchers to get an extra sausage, The Corporal often gives them one.

I bought OLED 55B series about three and half years ago. Cracking television although i had to replace it. Id left it on sky sports for so long, it screen burnt the ticker! The newer versions have improved this, but with my voucher, i got the Sony instead.

Gangs of London, wow! Get on it, best program since Peaky Blinders

Yep, like I said 'wow' is the word.

Dialogue ain't that great, some characters are a bit one - dimensional, but the action scenes are just amazing.

The missus was unimpressed, she much preferred Giri Haji.. But my eldest sat down and just went wowww, was just eyes wide loving it ....

Think its possibly one aimed at the male population. Peaky Blinders is a good comparison but the action scenes are on a different level in GOL.

I’ll avoid Giri Haji then, cheers @Chester40

Giri/Haji is brilliant.

Just finished Waco.

Pretty good.

Yep Giri/Haji is great, just a different beast to Gangs of London.

Currently working my way through Caliphate. Its good. Its a slower, tenser animal with none of the lighter notes of humour of Giri /Haji.

I think it handles difficult subject matter really well without being totally gripping in a 'I need to see the next episode now' way!

We're currently on episode 5 of 8 of Kalifat (different spelling but I assume it's the same series). I want to see how it pans out, but I'm finding it a bit slow at the moment. Unfortunately I can't find Gangs of London over here.

Series 1 is perfection, series 2 and 3 imo are very near perfection but don’t quite hit the height of series 1.

Detectorists is comfortably one of the best shows of the last decade.

I thought I'd set your expectations low then you may be pleasantly surprised. (as I say to the wife but, I still seem to disappoint?)

Finished the second series last night. I thought it was better than the first!

Been binging Modern Family on Netflix over the last couple of days. I imagine most are aware of it as it’s not new but it’s truly excellent

It's just finished after 11 series and does tail off a bit but the first few series are excellent. I must have watched the yard sale episode 10 times. Love that one.

If you like that, then I'd recommend Life in Pieces as well.

Charlie Brooker's antiviral wipe was very good the other night. On iplayer, obviously.

I am not a great fan of Brooker’s comedy to be honest, but it was an ok watch. It will be meat and drink though I would have thought for any Socialist/Remainers who frequent this forum. I think there are a couple.
