Does Lampard need to strengthen the squad in January?

In just under 6 weeks the transfer window reopens, as things stand and assuming no players that have been involved this season leave the club. Would you like to see Lampard strengthen the squad in January, or would you be happy with no incomings and to use the U23s if necessary?

I've lost track of who's injured! I just clicked LB but I'd actually be perfectly happy with Malone & Lowe.

Cheeky bid for Nick Powell might be a good move.

Forsyth, Ledley and Bennett.

Bryson, Mount and Waghorn were injured but could play Saturday

Lowe and Thomas are out on loan until January

Attacking full back and a pacey left winger. Regarding the former, someone mentioned Ryan Fredericks and I reckon that would be a top shout if West Ham don't rate him and if we can afford the wages.

Out for 9 games with a shin injury tho.

RB definitely and arguably another centre mid too for me. Fredericks and foden would be my top choices. Also need to consider what to do with the left back situation, I’d be tempted to get someone with experience in on a short term deal rather than recalling Lowe to act as cover. Might need another winger too depending on whether Wilson moves permanently inside, Hudson Odoi would be a good shout there I feel.

I want to know who is going to be in place for next season mostly - If all the out of contract players (and loanees) leave we're very short in CM and probably need an extra winger - I like that in the summer Lampard seems to have bought in players with a longer term view than just this season and I hope he continues to do that in January

GK - Will leave it to Given to decide if current backup is good enough - Carson is aces

RB - Two decent options already

LB - Malone and Lowe are decent

CB - Might need to think about bringing in a young CB?

DM - Assume Huddlestone stays plus Evans (and backup from the u23s)

CM - Next seasons problem position - Holmes - Even if Bryson and Johnson get new contracts I would imagine we need new blood in here

LW/RW - Lawrence, FloJo, Bennett, Waghorn - Assume Thomas for next year - Maybe consider an addition?

ST - Marriott - Plus Waghorn can play there and maybe Bennett?

Shouldn't you always strengthen? Every team has a weakest area.

I don't think any position is desperate but the full backs lack depth. Bogle himself has been stumbling a bit lately and Malone is good going forward but I think a bit weaker defensively than Olsson.

Central midfield. The attacking positions we are currently slotting a winger in there. It works but if the right CM was out there for a good price then wouldn't you look to add him to the squad?

Wouldn't say we "need" anything but if the right player is out there then we shouldn't ignore him.
