In fairness, that £100 was well earned initially.

In return, he cleaned the house top to bottom every week, on one of his two days off from a full time college course, so was more wages than pocket money.

For the last 18 months, he's had a full time job, although not in the trade he studied in, so I called it pocket money as he was being paid it, while no longer in the servitude of his cruel parents.

In fairness, he did a better job than our current cleaner.

@Lambchop please note this wasn't a dig - just a crap joke based on my lack of vocabulary - I take every opportunity to make crap jokes and I hadn't read any of the thread beforehand. When I read it back, with context of the previous posts, it looks like a dig - it wasn't.
