The combination of Mel on Talksport saying that Frank said that we'd get Chelsea loans, probably gives this enough to tentatively keep going. Had the topic been opened with just this then yes, but we have been linked previously which is where this topic is from, todays news confirms that link was true....although I think it was pretty much confirmed interest before? Clubs do retain targets as they cycle through managers so it wouldn't be wild to think we could be interested still, what with the Chelsea relationship between Mel and Frank. We'll see I guess, looks like the decision has been made to loan him out, you would think they will be looking to get that sorted asap so he can join in training with his new club before the season starts. It was mentioned on Talk Sport that we would be looking to get Chelsea loans. We need players in his position. I have a sneaky feeling about this! ? Spoke fondly about the club and sounds like if he goes out on loan at our level would come back. Its not that easy to go out and buy those type of players especially as every time we do we seem to end up paying way over the odds. We have ended up signing loans permanently in the past as well. If Tomori was available in our price range I’m sure Mel would go out and buy him. As he isn’t a loan is our best chance of getting someone of that ilk. I’d rather have those type of players playing for us than against us! A balance is needed yes, but to look at all loans like that is quite short sighted in my opinion.
