No foreign players please, we're British.

Hmm Jim would probably say players like Stimac, Asanovic, Eranio, Baino and Wanchope added excitement to our game. Not forgetting Poom and Laursen either. Loved all of them.

But then there were duffers like Beck and a few French lads that made you realise you can massively overpay for foreign players too.

They may be English and Welsh but some of Wilson and Mount's play yesterday reminded me of Baiano and Eranio at their best - the passing and moving interaction at speed between the two of them was great to watch and almost impossible to defend against. Hopefully they'll get even better at it over the next few weeks.

Well last season would have been dismall with out Vydra, and we have had some great foreign players over the years,Stimac,Wanchope, Poom do I need to go on ? Not sure what your point is, yes great to see britis h lads do well for the club but I want players in merit and ability not in nationality

It was an observation.

poom, stimac, wanchope, idiakez, vydra etc have indeed been some of the best players to watch. We had a lot of foreign players at one time, now we have very few.

Something has changed. maybe its the academy system.

Wilson, tomori, mount, bogle and bennett instead of imports?

By the same token Chelsea today fielded a team with not one British player. What are the chances of MM getting in this team? Even Loftus Cheek can’t get in, after making the England squad.

More chance of us keeping him, then, if we get to the promised land!

I think the point is that more and more foreigners are playing even at championship levels. The shear numbers cannot be good for our national teams. The recent England team had so few minutes of premiership football this season that it was embarrassing.

Are we heading for a time when like the premier, the championship will consist of mainly of foreigners?

You seem to lose courage in your post   , missing out the nasty provincialism of the header. We have had some great foreign players and DCFC is not UKIP.

If provincialism is is nasty and to be frowned upon, does that mean we shouldn't support Derby just because we come from Derby?
