I know it’s a ridiculous thread.

When is it acceptable?

Came in from work yesterday and it was on...end of August.

On interview everyone went no comment?

(I don’t really care,FYI).

My missus did the same. Can’t say I’m happy but it is warming up again soon so I think the end of September is acceptable.

Had the gas fire on in August, but never turned the central heating on. I think we've been a bit spoiled with the hotter weather , it does seem chilly the last few days.

This maybe radical but we turn it on when it’s cold..

I changed to my winter duvet last night. No blankets as yet.

I used to aim for half term before using the central heating, but it was usually a week or two before.

Getting logs delivered next week, so will mainly rely on the stove now.

Drives me nuts going round people’s houses with the heating on and they are sat wearing t shirts.

Stick a jumper on, if it’s cold still, whack the heating on.

Drive you nuts in here then.. Lovely sitting here in my shorts and the heating on 22.. cozy..

Can you specify cold in degrees centigrade mate?

The definition of cold is hotly debated in our house.

It’s alright for you southerners you can just put another pile of 20’s on the log burner.

Here in Brisbane I usually turn the heater on when it gets down to 20c.

Got friends who live in Sandford and he’s forever moaning about having to put the log burner in an evening, this time of year?

When does it get below 20 in Queensland?

If it starts with a 1, so 19 and below..

I’ve lived in Samford for over 20 years now and it can actually get to 0c in the morning. Just to rub it in we’ll hit 30c in this last week of winter.
