Absolutely perfect line up gives Jozefoon , Marriot and Waghorny a chance to prove their worth and gives Roos some much needed game time so he is ready just In case Carson gets injured or sent off, also good to see Malone and Huddlestone in the team. I wouldn't be surprise to see this front 3 be the one we keep going forward if they perform well tonight, as I doubt Lampard would sign Marriot and Waghorn only for Nugent to be the first choice striker for most of the season.

Shouldn't Bird be suspended still? He got a straight red in the U23s 8 days ago, unless you count u23 and first team fixtures or does it only apply to u23 fixtures?

Wonder what happens next week if Martin, Thorne, Pearce, Jerome, Butterfield etc don’t get loans. Not great for squad unity to have players around who have little to no chance of playing

Not necessarily. Forsyth is the only replacement for one of the central defenders, as well as a possible player in a back 3 should Lampard want to try a change to the system during the match
