Crazy Keogh hating

Ok I'll say it again. I do not hate Keogh who I rate well as a player who certainly plays his heart out for the club. However how many fans on this site were season tickets in the old days when a certain Dave MacKay was brought to Derby by Brian Clough? Dave Mackay came when Derby werein the old second division and he was an outstanding leader, man motivator and was forever marshalling his troops, gesticulating and keeping them going. I just don't see Keogh doing half as much as a leader and certainly when Derby go into a slump or get careless for spells in the game. I think he could do more. This does not make me a hater. It's just an opinion based on what I've witnessed over the years

For some reason me and the bloke i sit next to, got onto the subject of Mackay prior to kick off.

i said that you simply couldn't explain to a modern fan just how hugely important and charismatic Mackay was. Stimac x 10?

therefore i wouldn't have any expectation that RK could even begin to compare to DM.

Mate, out of your dozen or so posts, around 10 of them are telling everybody that you don't rate Keogh. So here's the thing - nobody cares. You've said your piece, it's duly noted, like everyone else, you're entitled to your opinion but could you change the feckin record every now and then, or have you nothing else to offer? If any of his detractors, your good self in particular, could offer a single name as a feasible replacement, then your constant whining might be more tolerable, but nobody ever does. Can't think why when according to experts such as yourself and Dean fookin Ashton, he's 'bang average', which by the way, is possibly the most irritating expression known to mankind.

Don't worry bud, I won't post again. It's full of warriors, snobs and forum police. Ending up face down, full-length , looking surprised on how he's been beaten isn't the way forward though. Terrible player. Over and out✌️. ?

Well let's get Dave McKay in then shall we or has Rowett nabbed him already?

Great idea but I don't think God will release him from the heavenly squad but joking aside I think Keogh could emulate the great man in his motivational skills.

Christ almighty. There should be a forum yellow card for failure to spell his name properly.

Much as I respect Keogh, Dave McKay he ain't, nor will he ever be. And if Van Dijk is worth £57 million, what would a modern day version of McKay cost these days? I really don't think the defence is that bad to be honest, especially with Wisdom apparently back in good form. If we could stop turning over the ball in midfield then they'd be less exposed. If funds really are limited then top priority for me is a CM not a CB.

Not everyone on here is as old as you mate but feel free to correct our spelling if you wish.

If you can't spell his name right, then you obviously aren't qualified to comment.

Who's Dean Ashton?

We could definitely do better than Keogh, but we could do a whole lot worse, believe me.

What I like about Keogh is the fact he loves our football club as much as we do and you don't get many players like him in the game anymore.

He makes mistakes just like any other player but for some reason, his mistakes get highlighted a lot more.

No, honestly, who is Dean Ashton????????

Played upfront for West Ham and got a couple of England caps if I remember rightly, he was a decent player but plagued by injury. I think he ended up retiring in his mid twenties!

I’m going to go onto a Derby forum slag off he club (vice) captain, then flounce out in a big huff when people don’t agree with me pointing fingers as I go!

There's a reason why theirs so many fans/pundits saying the same thing. He just simply isn't good enough.

You really need to make your mind up. The majority of your posts to date are critical of Keogh - he can't do this, he can't do that but then you suggest you'd play him at fullback because he's steady. Think you're a bit muddled up and that's putting it mildly.

Yes yes yes.

Defensively we probably let more crosses come in than we should but that is a function of having young left and right backs. It will improve

Marriott is a rising star and as AM’s and flank players we have ability in the squad. It’s the link we are missing. Hudds works against certain teams but Bryson is fading, sometimes good, sometimes not. Ought to have been Butters but he doesn’t have the breadth of skills. Johnson is another sometimes man. Can be good but inconsistent. We need a a powerful skilled general who isn’t limited to being a specialised DM

Ha! Warriors? Have you been threatened then?

Snobs? How so?

Forum police? Have you been censored?

I'm thinking you don't like it that so many people disagree with you and rather than debate it or agree to disagree or maybe wonder if they're all seeing something different, you've stormed upstairs and slammed the bedroom door shut?

If you're looking for the football forum where everyone agrees all the time then it's... er... It's ... erm.... well it has closed down due to severe lack of activity

So you’re saying that this one player is the reason we won’t get promoted, yet this same player has contributed to several top six finishes?

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Here we go again. Tell me how many dropped points and goals given away due to his errors. It always appears that this is the forgotten bit, the unspeakable truth. Over a season this is the difference between success and failure. The failure on Tuesday and on Boxing Day and the match before that, over and over - like a Groundhog Day, it's not if it will happen but when and that is an undeniable fact. And also what I pointed out last year and the year before and many others have said too.

Lovely man;  over a season, a liability. Defending the indefensible I'm afraid.
