Anon
Not yet. Putting his hands in his pocket has never been an issue. Let's see what happens if the team struggle to gel or we have a dip in form.

RiddingsRam
How can you not like him as a DCFC fan ? He's everything a club could ask for in a chairman.
Gisby
Can’t fault the man, whatever happens surely no one can question Mels commitment to the club, the city and the Derby(shire) community. Got to be good for all. ?

Rowett was a bad appointment in my opinion, but the way Mel handled everything after that was spot on. No hysteria over Stoke's interest, a prompt and sensible contract extension, and sorting Rowett's departure quickly in the summer was all very good. That's the first and only time so far the guy has shown any trigger discipline though. The signs are promising, but I want to see what happens with Lampard before I start singing Mel's name from the rooftops.

northantsram
He really is a great guy.. can't speak on behalf of everyone but we really are so fortunate to have him. He really deserves promotion and I think he won't have to wait much longer for it.
Westcumbrianram
We should do a standing ovation on 100 minutes for the amount of money he has put into the club............ oh wait
Ambitious
If he'd have hired me a few years back, he could have spent half of that & recouped double. Mel, if you're listening, my DMs are open. Anyway, yeah, I think anyone that doesn't appreciate what he's done for us is a bit naive.

Carl Sagan
He is magnificent. The dream in the modern era is to have a local fan, with the same resources as many overseas owners, to own the club. I hope he gets his reward and next season we see Mel and Frank's Derby County in the Premier League, following another exciting summer of incomings. What a guy indeed! Parsnip
Hasn't put a foot wrong intentionally. I've backed nearly all his decisions. Just look at who other clubs are owned by! Other fans would kill to have a Mel ? He's in it for the right reasons. He's a good man. He's a ram.

He actually did really well and if it wasn't for Fulham's exceptional late charge, we'd have probably gone up. Mel hasn't made any bad managerial appointments - they just haven't worked out. Yet.
