I'd say you're closer to the mark than the 2 million often quoted Paul

I agree with Ben's approach as long as he is giving Nigel everything he can, we cant ask for more than that.

I saw Birmingham spent £2.5 million on a full back while they're in an embargo.

Someone would always bale Birmingham out

We can't go into debt at all, there isn't a queue of people prepared to put money in, it's Ben and all he is is a family business man.

He may have made himself a few quid over the last couple of seasons and who could begrudge him that really?

We've got a couple of assets player wise, it may take is something like selling Boyce I'm January and using that money to buy four players.

It would be hard to take losing him but we have to live within our means and we will always be a selling club.

Mid table is looking like a pretty attractive offer to me with the size of the squad and the difficulty getting players in.

Apparently Donny brought nearly 1500 of the 3100 on Saturday. Burton isn't a town that is showing it has the appetite to stick with them during the so called down times.

To put it into perspective though, after the league cup game Burton will now have played former European champions Aston Villa five times in competitive games. Four of them in the league.

Fifteen-twenty years ago the biggest team we played from Birmingham was Moor Geeen!!

You still have parking facilities for a club that should be playing Moor Green .  It's a relief your in league one again as at least there aren't hundreds of cars dumped all over the road and pavements this season .

Yet we beat you lot twice and drew one of the four games we played.

Even if Burton do end up where they belong, I'll take huge delight in knowing you can't ever take that away.

Non league Nigel and non league Burton smashed you all over the park twice. Even the one you won you got out of jail.

I was only messing around.

Can't deny that you always gave us a tough game, seemed to want it more than we did.

The stadium was built for the club to establish itself as a conference team

The fact success came quickly and to a level no-one ever dreamed of meant the facilities got left behind.

Parking was always brilliant for me, two minute walk to the nearby industrial estate and always on the road within 5 minutes of game end.

The fact plod allowed off road/on pavement parking was mental.

I miss those massive 5,000 attendances we used to get three home games a season.

Fifteen thousand at Bradford tonight and we're expecting cc a promotion push.

I believe only Accrington Stanley have a lower average home attendance in league one this season.

Spoke to the police and council about this and too be honest I had to give up  They referred me to the club who I spoke to at length on many occasions as they advised they had tried to sort out something with them and things were going nowhere.  The response I got was for the club to increase prices at the ground for those wanting to park .  As such I  have little time for the club as they have little time for the residents in the locality.  I know of at least 6 people who have taken pictures and forwarded them on to  Burton Albion at there request and heard nought .  It's a shame really as prior to not being able to get out my estate safely and spending time on matchdays picking up discarded coke cans and coffee cups from my garden I used to quite enjoy Burton's rise up the league.

I can see why it would annoy you of you lived nearby.

Always thought it was strange that there wasn't some official toe on with the industrial estate I always parked on.

I wasn't sure I was allowed to park there and especially for free so I took the business a crate of beer, Sox bottles of wine and some roses to say thank you. Even though they didn't know I parked outside on one of their spots every home game.

Must be close to 100 spaces all told and most if not all of the businesses are closed by Saturday at 3pm.

No need at all to park on the main road and less need to leave your car on the grass verges sometimes blocking the pavements.

Typical football fans I'm afraid, inconsiderate and only really caring about themselves.

Certain aspects of BAFC are definitely still ran as a non league club.

Communication with the general public is one of those areas.a free parking 200 yards sign is all they needed to do

Just posted about this on the Burton forum..

We've signed Steve Hodge's lad.

Maybe Nige is after recreating the England side of 88 through their offspring and thinks weve just signed Peter Beardsleys lad.

I've not seen what he looks like but I'm hoping he got blessed with his dad's looks and teeth, never mind his ability.

He'd bring a whole new meaning to the term terrifying defences.

Stephen Quinn signed as a free agent until January.

He's been training for a couple of weeks.

Amazed it didn't leak out before he signed

A sign of how much coverage and press interest we get these days .

He'll be a very useful addition to the squad. A player with an unbelievable engine.

Really poor yesterday.

Ben Turner had an absolute shocker right from the first minute which out Bywater in all kinds of trouble. He's come out of his area twice to try to make interceptions and got nowhere near the ball.

The free kick in unforgivable, at the game I thought maybe one of the defenders could have got near it but watching the goal back it's clearly Stephens fault

The second although a half decent save he's got to do better and the third again is a really poor parry initially.

The amount of times Turner headed the ball back into a dangerous area was a joke

As a left back if you can't head it to a team mate, you are taught from ten years old to head it as far as you can down the line. Turner is an experienced professional but for the last couple of games has played like a scared boy.

Not too much in midfield and again should have been in front before they got the first AND again at 1-1.

Second half was horrible to watch.

Couple of overall comments

1) Karl Robinson is and always had been a shithouse.

2) something needs to change playing style wise and o don't see how it can with the players we've got. It could be a very tough season indeed.

3) allegedly there is a Clough Out banner going to be unveiled either at the villa game or for Wimbledon on Saturday

4) football fans are still on the whole thick as pig poo.

5) I hope Nigel walks. Really, I hope he calls it a day.

3 years of working under really difficult circumstances and all he ever gets is poo thrown at him. I know he has thick skin but it's got to get to a stage where he thinks fuxk that.

He was the worst paid manager in the championship, he'll not be earning any kind of money at league one level. He's got a wage budget a lot of league two managers would crib about, we can't even afford to sign untried 18 year olds on loan and the fans want him gone.

I hope he quits, hangs up his managerial boots in England and buggers off somewhere he can enjoy his life.

Why the Karl Robinson comment?

I think he's a fake manager. I think he trots out cliche after cliche

I think he moans for the sake of moaning.

I think he winds up his own players, the crowd and the referee.

I think he plays a horrible style of football centred around getting his players to commit nasty niggly foils to break up any chance of momentum the other side tries to build.

I think he's got shot fashion sense and a really annoying voice that makes me want to punch him full on the face with time he opens his mouth. ( I can't and don't fight so mean that figuratively rather that genuinely)

I think he's living on the glory of getting Mk Dons promoted without too many people realising how much he spent.

I think he is a typical product of the fa's poo coaching badge system that as far as I can see produces more failures than successes.

Apart from that

Why don't you like him?

You wouldn't fancy him at Burton then if Nigel goes? Serious question. You think he's a banker, but would it be a case of "but he's our banker" a la when a player you despise but is an excellent footballer is signed by your club?
