When did he last score over 15 goals in a season?

Think 15 goals for us in 40 appearances.

8 goals for Middlesbrough in 24

55 goals for Leicester in 137 appearances, suggest he is capable of 15 goals a season.

Don't think he's looked really good for us since Snake split him and Vyds up.

Agree, think it would be a good move for him, still capable at this level though and just hope we don't accept a miserable offer for him.

I’d be happy with Marriott, Nugent & Bennett for the one striking position.

Yeah until Marriott gets injured and you actually have to rely on those two backups.

That’s 3 years ago at Leicester he’s now 33 do you really think he can play 90 mins every week and score over 15 goals this season?

There are very few players in this squad that are must not sell.

He isn’t one of them.

Grest bloke but we’re really not in a position to be turning down money for (hopefully!) backup players.

Why not? Don't you think we need back up players?

Same case for any position though. If we want to cut wages, we can't have multiple players of high enough quality, just sat on the bench just in case.

If Carson gets injured, we're weakened. If Wisdom gets injured, we're weakened. If a CM gets injured, we're unbalanced.

There aren't many teams who wouldn't be weakened by a first choice player picking up an injury. In an ideal world we could have a player like Abraham up front with Marriott etc. on the bench just in case, but that's not completely possible.

Well we have a wage bill that’s too big and a potential bid for possibly our third choice striker who is on considerable wages? Seems a bit of a no brainer to me.

Wilder brought in Leon Clarke for them aged 32 as some experience and he has done an excellent job for them. Also looks like Billy Sharp appears to be on his way out to Bradford. Maybe some truth in it. Assuming Nugents contract is up at the end of this season I think he could go and get a 3 year deal somewhere. We get a bit of a fee. Everybody is happy. On the proviso that we replace is energy.

Appreciate he's good for the dressing room but you can only have so many 'old heads' before that impact is watered down a little.

Anyone in thier last year under contract should be sold if offers come in that are sensible providing we have suitable cover  it’s just football economics

nugent Butterfield johnson Jerome should all be available for offers of £500,000 and upwards

It is, currently only about  4-5 players people would consider keeping on or using until thier contract expired ?  Again that depends on our current manager

personally I would keep or look to extend Bogle Pearce Huddlestone or ledley and Bryson but all on terms we could afford

Personally I wouldn't discuss contracts with any of the players until the end of April.

You want a new contract, show us over the season why you deserve one.

Need to get Bogle tied down ASAP looking at that list.

Professional Contracts handed to youths are well protected and have options built in for extensions and upgrades depending on the progress they make short term.
