"Andreas Weimann, the forward, is poised to join Bristol City for £2m and Lampard is working on replacements, with Chelsea’s Tammy Abraham a possible loan signing. Lampard also has an interest in Peterborough’s Jack Marriott."

Forest can shove their Portuguese wonderkids up their arses if we get this lad, would be a massive statement of intent.

Until he goes back.

Surely if we replace Vydra & Weimann with Abraham & Marriott there cant be any complaints? Abraham has shown he can score at this level.so more than replaces Vydra and Marriott has been consistent for years so would freshen up our attack and offer something more clinical than Weimann imo

Well, that is essentially replacing a No.10 and a winger with two centre-forwards...but that's just if you're being picky...

Surely fans would be up in arms if we sold our prize asset and replaced with a loan?

Perhaps Wel play 3-5-2 so both could play together?

But where does that formation leave our star signing from last summer, Lawrence?

I suppose you could rotate the 3 depending on what you need up front ... Lawrence could play a bit off one of the others

A bit like Kane and Sterling for England.. sterling doesn't really play as a striker.

Marriott consistent for years? Great season last campaign but before that almost 1 in 4 in League 2 hardly makes him consistent.

But still poss 8m left in the kitty to get a winger in as well, plus Marriott can play the no. 10 role
