Why did you eat your tea? I know you’ve probably had a few but you’re meant to drink tea ?

How did feel you did on your exams? Hopefully you did well but if you haven’t then don’t worry too much as first year doesn’t count towards your final batchelor degree classification

I thought they went alright thanks. I studied quite a bit but Leeds away (the night before my first exam) and Wembley (including all the build up) disrupted my preparation a bit. I’d like a 1st as my final first-year grade but I’d be alright with a 2:1. I’ve learnt a few lessons that will come in handy next year when it really does count. Thanks for asking.

I had a heavy night last night to celebrate finishing. Apparently I got in a jokey scrap with my mate because he called Richard Keogh a ?end?

Peroni gran riserva is ok.

The nastro azzuro is wishy washy. I grew out of that in the late 80s in Peterborough of all places....?

I lived in Peterborough in the late eighties, the still was one of the best pubs known to man. Apart from the brunny.

Jeez, bet you’re fun at parties!

Sugar doesn’t give you type 2 diabetes, too much sugar can make you fat, being fat can increase your chances of getting diabetes.

Calling a woman fat also increases your chances of getting a black eye.

Get over your sanctimonious peacocking.   poo like that is one reason there is an issue with diabetes.

You called her fat, I said that her drinking was a cocktail that would/could lead to diabetes, so feel free to give yourself a black eye, or better still prove me wrong.

Or just delete this to save face.

I never called her fat. Read my post again.

You never said could lead to diabetes. Read your post again.

Also find me where it says too much sugar gives you Type 2 diabetes in any of your links, because I’m not seeing it.

Here you go @McRamFan.

Quote

With Type 2 diabetes, though we know sugar doesn’t directly cause Type 2 diabetes, you are more likely to get it if you are overweight. You gain weight when you take in more calories than your body needs, and sugary foods and drinks contain a lot of calories.

And it's important to add that fatty foods and drinks are playing a part in our nation's expanding waistline.

So you can see if too much sugar is making you put on weight, then you are increasing your risk of getting Type 2 diabetes. But Type 2 diabetes is complex, and sugar is unlikely to be the only reason the condition develops.

It is the 'added' sugar in foods and drinks.  This overloads the body and is one of the main factors.

You have to remember that there is also a trillion trillion dollar industry that want you to still take your sugar, and is driving the narrative.

You said fat, I never implied it at all.

Same article...

It’s the added sugar that we need to cut down on. And it’s not just the obviously sweet things like biscuits and chocolate. It’s the hidden sugar lurking in many foods foods such as baked beans, pasta sauces, tomato ketchup, low fat yogurts and ready meals.

Would be easier if you quote the bits and which you feel are relevant for me to read.

Do you believe The British Diabetic Association are being driven by the trillion dollar sugar industry?

Also if we go back to your initial post which was

Type 2 diabetes session?  Stick to the Gin and Tequila, ditch the rest.

What did you mean by Type 2 diabetes session? The way I read this was are you trying to get type 2 diabetes drinking all those sugary drinks, which is why I responded with sugar does not give you type 2 diabetes.

If you still want to believe it does and that The British Diabetic Association are somehow being funded by the sugar industry and everydayhealth.com is a much better source of real information, not sure what I can say to that other than believe what you want.

Having been tested for it myself, spoken to doctors and quoted a real source of information to you, I really don’t see the point in arguing against random websites you want to chuck at me.

Sugar does not directly give you Type 2 diabetes. It just doesn’t.

Yes, it’s called having a healthy diet, but sugar does still not directly give you Type 2 diabetes.

Now unless you know what Anna’s diet is like throughout the week, your “Type 2 diabetes session” was very odd to say the least.

Guess what, too much alcohol isn’t good for you either, so even swapping the sugary drinks for gin and tonic can lead to health implications. Let’s just stick to water eh, play it safe!

Thanks for the concern, pleased to report that is was a one-off ridiculous celebratory session, hence me noting the crazy concotion that I inflicted on myself... but nice to have a bit of fun and variety ? .

Can't believe I'm justifying my actions to strangers on the Internet!

Back to water today ?
