Happy with this we’ve spent to much on players that have had 1 good season!

As much as I agree we can’t afford the players that have had 2, 3 or more good seasons unless they are over 30. And most youngsters aren’t likely to have had many good seasons as they lack experience and consistency generally

Nail on the head there, unfortunately.

We could always gamble on someone who has since fallen away, similarly to how we did with Vydra in the first place. However, like Vydra, the wages would still be high regardless. Jerome could be classed in this category, I suppose. Rhodes, Hogan & others...

Glad about the Cardiff link. £10m would've been a reckless gamble. Hopefully Derby are wiser than that these days.

Agreed. Too much money for him.

10 million, means he is worth two Will Hughes ?

The media: Some clubs are looking at signing Bobby Reid for £6-8m.
Another club: Oh poo! We want him, lets offer them £10m and get it done.

The media: Watford have made a bid of £5m(-8m we dont actually know)
Any other club: OK. *shrug*

You need money to keep good players in the Championship. The Prem speaks for itself.

And we were still had over Hughes fee.
