Doesn’t seem fully done then if he’s only finding out today

Not sure Topram. The whole board wouldn't be involved in the interviewing but would need to meet to ratify the decision to appoint whoever's chosen though.

If they are deciding today it  all seems to be happening very hastily. What's the rush? Better to take time and get the right man for the job. Would have thought Mel had learned by now.

Someone else might come in for 'our candidate'. Plus it's not rushed - what else is going on?!

Rowett only quit a week ago!!

So what - it's not as if any of the candidates' cv is going to change between now and the start of the season. Whoever it's going to be, the sooner their appointment is made then the sooner they can get on with the job.

Taking some time to think what is right for the club may actually pay dividends in the long run.

Rush! They like all football clubs would have a contingency plan for if they lost/sacked the manager. A week to interview candidates and formulate their plans. Then appoint their preferred choice. Subject to agreeing terms. What do you want them to do! Prevaricate and lose themselves in a sea of indecision. In business you have to plan. Then act. Without delay. Sometimes I wonder how some people get anything accomplished.
