David
From today, all members are moderators. By reporting posts you can help keep dcfcfans.uk a friendly place to share your views on Derby County. When we receive a number of reports on a post it will automatically be removed from public view without the assistance of a forum staff member. On review forum staff have the ability to restore the post if falsely reported. This is a powerful tool, one that we are putting great trust in the community not to abuse. If members are found to be abusing it by targeting other members over footballing/political disagreements, a warning will be issued which could potentially lead to a ban. When should you report? if a post contains prohibited content which can be found in the forum terms of use. Prohibited Content - Personal insults/profanity towards other members, players, staff, media or anyone connected to Derby County Football Club. - Trolling of members and staff. - Profanity, including creative spelling to avoid our filters. - Pornography, adult or mature content and discussions. This includes any kind of nudity, partial or full. - Violent content. - Content that threatens or advocates for harm on oneself or others. - Content that harasses, intimidates or bullies an individual or group of individuals. - Content that incites hatred against, promotes discrimination of, or disparages an individual or group on the basis of their race or ethnic origin, religion, disability, age, nationality, veteran status, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, or other characteristic that is associated with systemic discrimination or marginalisation. - Libelous content containing or constituting a libel. - Links, requests or discussions on how to access illegal content. Steve How Hard?
Hooray, I knew I'd make it to moderator status one day. Behave yourself you rabble or I'll ban the lot of you. Seriously though it is a very good idea. ?
LesterRam
Wow, you will need twice as many Moderators now surely, the posts will look disjointed and some miserable gits on this forum will be trigger happy. How am I supposed to use my daily quota of offending members now ? (emojis circa 1976)

Friendly platform to share views on the club we all love with fellow Rams, thats the idea I keep telling you about. You can do it, I have faith in you. First is a kiss, which means a lot, thank you. Second is a builder, which I hope is a sign you are to build bridges with members and refrain from offending them further. Mafiabob
@DavidI feel you’re going down the wrong route here, but quite happy to concede I’m not as knowledgeable on how to run a forum as yourself and others..... Just one thing, I’m absolutely fair game for whatever I say on here or elsewhere..... but if I post something and someone repeatedly abuses the report function, will they get warned about this? Just think some more than others are going to get stick for what they say. I appreciate that I may have been a handful lately with regards my stance on how I feel Derby County is being ran..... but it’s what I feel and believe, but I’d be happy to have egg on my face. Kind Regards Andy

Oooohh - think you may have breached both these with that comment: - Content that harasses, intimidates or bullies an individual or group of individuals. Now then, should I exercise my new-found power?

TroyDyer
Depends if you purposely misquote people. ? You said I compared transgender people to people that identified as cats and babies. When/if the thread is reopened, you'll see I said the opposite. I said I have no problem with transgenderism, it's the kind of people that identify as cats and babies that I have an issue with. Facts matter. ?

All reports still alert moderators so we can see who is reporting what.

There were a number of transphobic comments in that thread, but also some good info for the open minded. This is an example of where I don’t think it’s a good idea to shut down the debate, because then nobody learns anything.

LesterRam
Do you think the forum reflects the average football fans view? We have two hundred moderators and only 10 or so hardcore posters, moderation is fine but cutting out banter makes the forum feel a touch sterile, what are the thoughts of other members? Those member numbers are far from accurate. This forum is funded through advertising, some ‘banter’ is not advertising friendly, I don’t agree that makes the forum sterile and given the popularity of the forum many (more than your numbers) seem to happy with the platform.
