Excellent transfers + top manager + solid Business model = success

Wolves have done exactly the same in the Championship, fair play to them both

What a load of ********, they paid the largest wages, bought the best players and hired the best manager, not rocket science. Wolves used the same model and it's ruined the game.

What, you mean like Manchester United have done also, strange how they haven’t won the league then? By that reckoning, why aren’t Aston Villa sitting second behind Wolves?

Hell, why haven’t we been promoted yet then? We spent big and got nowhere, money means **** all if you don’t know how to use it correctly

We got worse when we spent a load of money. Boro have spent more than Wolves. Birmingham have spent twice as much as Cardiff.

Yeah that's fine, the problem is they are employing Europes best and employing the services of that snake agent Jorge Mendez, they currently have an FA internal investigation to contend with so they have bought a title in essence, you are looking at the top of the invoice and I'm on the bottom line and it grates a touch.

and this is a new thing...?

Didn't Blackburn buy the league?

Didn't Leicester get out of paying their debts to buy it?

Didn't United buy it over and over again?

and actually....

Didn't we pay the record transfer fee for a defender when Clough bought us the league..?

Quote

English football will "always be grateful" for the influence of Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola, ex-England striker Gary Lineker says.

"I think unquestionably Guardiola will influence the style of football in this country," Lineker said.

"Not only is it pleasing on the eye, but it's bringing success.

"We all know that success is copied and imitated by other teams, other coaches and children playing the game."

Wasted on Rowett.

Some of his ‘innovations’ we were doing during Mac 1 and Fulham do now.

I don’t buy the; “he hasn’t proved himself down the league” or “well Dyche has done this argument” but I would be quite interested in seeing Guardiola taking over somebody such as this current Fulham team.
