Happy The Derby Way, Maggie May, Paddy's Day. Go on Shane, give us a bit a Rodney Stewart, and all that, enjoy some white and black drinks all round, before that Welsh lot turn up into town. And remember to wake up in the morn, there's a big match on!......I was at Pittodrie with the kids today, bit chilly, popped to the back of the stand (they don't have concourses, you don't know how lucky you are Rams fans, small room back of the stand no windows, no TV screens and soon as I turned into it, the crowd rattled their sweetie wrappers and Aberdeen scored and I therefore missed the goal, but the kids enjoyed their steak pies though when I returned to the seats, anyway enjoy the Rams........and Shane! All I needed was a friend to lend a guiding hand But you turned into a lover and mother what a lover, you wore me out All you did was wreck my bed and in the morning kick me in the head Oh Derby I couldn't have tried anymore You lured me away from home 'cause you didn't want to be alone You stole my heart I couldn't leave you if I tried I suppose I could collect my books and get on back to school Or steal my daddy's cue and make a living out of playing pool Or find myself a rock and roll band that needs a helpin' hand Oh Derby I wish I'd never seen your face You made a first-class fool out of me But I'm as blind as a fool can be You stole my heart but I love you anyway Derby I wish I'd never seen your face I'll get on back home one of these days..........
