Claims it was because of all the goading, but in the video he seemingly got wound up very, very quickly. I’m not too sure Sky will get rid of him to be honest, Carra & Neville are important for them.

Strange way for him to react to a Liverpool loss as an Everton fan anyway.

Sith Happens

He's apologised, probably as a result of realising he had been filmed.

Not sure its a sackable offence but doesn't look good. Bit of muppetry all round as no doubt the driver of the car will pick up a fine and points for handling his phone while driving.

If you spat at someone at work it would be deemed as gross misconduct instant dismissal.

True, but he wasn't at work, he was in the car on the way home.

Would you be sacked for spitting on someone outside of work? Unlikely......unless it was at your boss in the Tesco meat aisle.

Lost his head clearly, said himself no excuses, doesn't matter how long the guy was following him for giving it some, gobbing on someone is disgusting. Shouldn't lose his job for it though.

Gross misconduct would also be classified as bringing his employer into disrepute which clearly he has done, again instant dismissal.

How has he brought his employer into disrepute and which employer, Sky Sports or The Telegraph? He's not sat in a car with branding all over, or in a uniform that clearly identifies him to be an employee of either.

Am sorry David he quite clearly is a high profile television personality whom everyone knows works for Sky Sports -this is common knowledge given the number of people who watch Carragher on Sky Sports on the TV. Given these facts the acceptable implication would be that Sky have a high profile employee of theirs that now has been filmed spitting at an individual therefore directly linking this abhorrent behaviour to their organisation.
